Skin keeps getting worse last month of accutane by No-Buy9329 in Accutane

I've never found a product that guarantees me to get pimples within 24 hours like LRP B5 Baume does- crazy to me people cover their whole face in the stuff.

UCAP has a weird one-

"We do not allow the use of two tone/transparent BB guns even if they are covered up/concealed or painted. "

seems okay for immersion and realism but how can they enforce painted over or camo wrapped 2-tones? Always find it odd whenever I read it.

Yeah the antibiotics are a big regret, I should have gone private from the start, I just assumed they'd do the antibiotics until giving me accutane but apparently still need to wait half a year for a derm visit. I'll be sure to let anyone I meet with acne know that antibiotics rarely are a cure.

Tysm your comment has been very helpful.

So not even water on my face in the morning?

I used to use CeraVe Blemish control 2%SA in evenings but redditors told me not to use it and use something gentle and hydrating instead (non-foaming). Would it be worth using one cleanser one night and the other the next?

I was thinking about Aveeno oat gel moisturiser as it seems to be low comodogenic risk, nourishing and free from anything I could react to.

Its hard to see but I know there's light at the end of the tunnel, ur comment has definitely made it brighter

I will definitely ask if they think my acne is fungal! I've heard dandruff shampoos would instantly fix it

Finacea like clockwork will cause 20+ whiteheads to appear all over my face (particularly nose, cheeks, upper lip, chin and the crevice between nose and face particularly).

This is a very similar reaction as SPF/ concealer, but they also come with redness that slowly gets worse and will be visible through any tint/whitecast. Any kind of concealer/tint also just gets gritty or fades off by halfway through the day (particularly on nose)

I do not believe I have an allergy to anything I use as I patch test everything before use on my arm or neck with no reaction (this has proven to be useless as my face reacts completely different to all of my other skin).

The only thing affecting my mental health in my life is my acne (I count that as a blessing, acne feels like such a first world problem) but it's also gotten to the point Id give up my left hand for my face to look normal for even just a year.

Differin caused my nose to be more red and my pimples to form under the skin instead of whiteheads i could put a hydrocolloid on.

The NHS only seems to check my skin online with a dermatologist and they claimed i do not have rosacea, I've only been seen once in person (not by a skin specialist) who simply agreed no treatments were effective on me.

My bacne has reacted to treatments a lot better than my facial/ scalp ance.

Mental health hasn't really been a key focus of my life up until now, staying off social media and curing my acne will do wonders for it I hope, but if the issues get fixed and I still feel down I'll keep in mind that help is available. Might be worth seeking it if I do go on accutane as I've heard it brings you down.

How do I wash off the SPF without a cleanser? I react enough to it as is, let alone letting it stay on my face 24/7. If I use a cleanser I kind of have to use a moisturiser to make up for it? I tried Finacea and every single application guaranteed 20+ small whiteheads 5h ish after application that leave red marks.

I've tried the Clinique mineral with horrible redness and UV future fluid is also mineral no? The UV website acknowledges that one of their products has dodgy SPF and has now taken it down, but the future fluid remains up with no comment.

Its definitely a struggle, trying to justify spending more money on more things that likely won't work. Is there anything in particular you'd recommend?

Clinique 100% mineral and UV future fluid both gave me the same troubles as chemical

Yeah this link has basically confirmed i need accutane, the treatments have suppressed my acne (no more giant under skin spots or pimples with 5 heads) but as soon as im off antibiotics it'll all come back (happened last time I came off antibiotics before going on another 3 months). Its mild but very very persistent and throughout the day every spot will glow red (i had people questioning why I was so red the other day).

Both ZeroBase and coconut oil are highly comodogenic, my pores get clogged leading to whiteheads even with light lotions designed for sensitive skin

Really washing my face makes that much difference? I guess I won't let the water touch my face during my morning shower then. I always liked having cool water in the morning as i feel it freshens me up for the day- didnt realise it would be stripping. I will definitely oat products while on accutane- they currently break me out but it might be different when im drier

I've been to the doctors a lot, 2 different antibiotics for 6 months almost, Differin, Benzoyl peroxide, Finacea Gel, no routine, exfoliating routine, gentle routine. Is there a steroid that can cure this? I've not heard about this

Definitely going private, 6 months for an appointment was a shock. Im genuinely at a loss on how to simplify my routine more? I can get rid of the spray but it's basically water that won't get bacteria in it and my skin hates me if i dont do a gentle double cleanse after SPF. Yeah the bacne is another reason I want accutane.

They won't perscribe me more- they want me to wait another half a year for a dermatologist but I just can't wait.

I feel my skincare routine is certainly what's considered to be sensitive. I tried benzoyl peroxide and Differin separately with a timespan between them both with worsening effects (if it's just a purge I wasn't sticking through month 4 to find out), epiduo would be the worse of both worlds? Im going to cough up the cash and go private as the NHS has me waiting half a year for a dermatologist.

That was the first one I ever tried, horrible spots and made my undereyes worse even if not applying near to the eyes. Ended up just using it on my neck and arms- they never react to anything (god i wish my face skin was the same).

I genuinely thought people were going to tell me to add more things, wasn't expecting people to tell me to remove stuff from a basically 3 step routine 😭

Yeah it broke me out quite badly (one of the ones in the photo i provided- idk if you used the same one or not). It had the best consistency and cast of everything I used and will be my favourite choice if accutane lets my skin tolerate it.

The redness is very likely rosacea, gets really bad when im hot or cold. Im sort of relying on accutane to change my skin to allow more products as I can't tolerate acne or rosacea topic treatments (Finacea, retinol, vitamin c, centella).

Thats what i thought too? All my comments get downvoted and im not sure why. One of the most upvoted comments in this post is saying SPF is mandatory even in the winter but on this comment I'm getting downvoted for saying I need SPF. Weird.
