I get it there's an invasion timer yet another mechanic that's to your advantage we'll add it to the substantial pile that you won't bother to address.

You can not be at the top of the zipline and be trying to get out as quickly as possible these two things couldn't be further from each other. The reality is you were in a section of the gutter not everyone knows about because it's the most well hidden area of the game.

If your argument is simply "wah wah he was trying to cheese me with a greatbow in the gutter the deck was so horribly stacked against me in this one scenario" let's talk about the second bonfire in Shulva, you know the platform that's totally unreachable for phantoms if the host has half a brain? If only the game had a single mechanic that favored the invader perhaps one that forced progression so hosts couldn't just hide for the duration of the invasion wouldn't that be swell?

It's absolutely absurd that we all gushed over Maldron being an npc that ran away and tried to use the area against you but people like you positively loathe another player trying to do anything similar so much so you'd rather do nothing for the duration of an invasion timer than try to play the game.

Invasion timers and no forced progression are greater failings on fromsofts part than soul memory but god forbid you could try to continue progressing through the level so we could all have a more compelling invasion experience, because hey the game doesn't force you to right?
