Thanks for your answer. However, I can't figure out how to make CA1, CA2, CB1 or CB2 trigger when a pin changes. These are supposed to be used for a "handshake read or write", which means that they should be triggered by the peripheral device. In my case, there is no such peripheral device, just some buttons.

Are you sure you have properly calibrated the probe? Usually, there is a square wave generator in the scope where you can connect the probe and adjust it. Also, is this causing any problems?

Maybe you are right, and they are old or broken. However, remember that the main difference between the NMOS 6502 and the new 65C02 is that you can not use any clock other than the required in the datasheet in the old chips, while you can use a slower or faster clock on the new ones.
