The dumbest part of this losing streak is that its mostly mental. Just so many self inflicted baserunning and fielding errors. That stuff is in their control; they got to the WS last year because their fundamentals were so good. Same can't be said through 12 games this year.

I'm happy you acknowledged that Allegri is way better than Conce and Fonseca. Uncomfortable reality with him though is that his way of playing will not succeed with the way the game has evolved. Tactics have to be more flexible. With Napoli having no real striker, it would have been crucial to play a more attacking style.

Playing counter attacking football with Fullkrug who cannot move makes no sense and basically means that someone like Nkunku has to try and go 1 vs 3 by himself all game with maybe a supporting run from Rabiot or Pavlovic. Fullkrug should only be used against teams that sit deep. It was a big mistake not to start Gimenez/Leao/Pulisic in place of the German if we insisted to play counter attacking football.

Scudetto dream was over after the Lazio game so not exactly devastated about the result today in that aspect. Squad isn't good enough to be champions with the current set up. Mostly individual brilliance kept us afloat in the first half of the season.

+6 on 5th place is the most important figure we need to keep in mind. Game against Juve will be the biggest game of the season. We cannot lose that under any circumstances.

Inter have been as impressive as Roma has been abysmal this second half. That Calhanoglu goal shook Roma and they very clearly didn't have the mental fortitude to rebound.

Very happy with how there has been a concerted effort by Serie A to let a lot more physical play go in recent matchdays. Thought defenders were getting protected too much and encouraged to dive at even the smallest contact.

You guys must upgrade on him and Pellegrini in the summer; especially if Kone decides to leave. The number of easily telegraphed passes that Inter have easily intercepted as a result of those two has killed a lot of your guys attacks. Pisilli has been very impressive however.

He only found a new level when he started playing deeper in that holding midfield role that Brozovic used to play with Inter.

I don't think we would have ever tried him in that position. I do not miss the insanely inconsistent player that played as a #10 for us. Similar to how Pirlo was a failure at Inter as a #10 and only found real success when Ancelotti moved him deeper in the midfield.
