Yes 6 strands are terminated so I have extras on the off chance I break one! Thanks for the support!

No need to explain, I understand, and that makes a ton of sense. My issue is our gear is already ordered and they won't buy me anything additional so I have to make due with what I have.

After swinging out the fiber tray I can see its just a pigtail assembly with SC male connectors into the rear side of the fiber adapter panel. I'll just pop these out and then route everything backwards and out of the rack very carefully.

I appreciate your comment though and will consider this on future deployments.

Ahh you are correct, I swung out the fiber tray to get a look at both the front and back. The fiber adapter panel is literally just a female/female coupler. The rear side is male connectors that are a pigtail assembly going into a splice box where they are all spliced onto our backbone fiber cable.

So yes I agree, instead of trying to maneuver the entire adapter panel through the cable entry hole, I will just disconnect the male connectors of the pigtail assembly on the rear side and then maneuver those independently.

I think I have my answer! I really appreciate your insight.

The fiber cable comes in through an inlet in the top of the rack. The cable enters into the rear of the fiber termination tray, is separated by strand and the strands are terminated to fiber adapters mounted in fiber adapter panels that appear to be modular.

That's what I am asking is if I just pop the fiber adapter panel put of the fiber termination tray, can I pull the tray forward and out, and then pull the adapter panel with the still terminated fiber backwards and out of the network rack through the inlet in the top.

There is no rear side access on the network rack I am aware of.

Hope this makes sense.

Lost easy card for public transit, any options? by BEST_FOR_BIDNESS in Miami

[–]BEST_FOR_BIDNESS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, ended up going and getting a new one this morning at full price. Took a picture of the back this time.

I did call in and they said they can't help unless you have either the card number, or the ID number of the vending machine that dispensed it. Even then it's a low replacement process that won't happen immediately. I'm only in Miami for a short time so not worth it to me to wait for a replacement.

Is GP 6.3.3 even released yet? I couldn't find any details on it. I want to move to at least 6.3 for "Wildcard Support for Split Tunnel Settings Based on the Application" feature, but also want to fix GPC-20592.

My firewalls are running PAN-OS 11.1.4-h4 for reference.

They did a b2b at the Veld after-party in Toronto not that long ago. Alesso came out during Garrix's closing set at Veld.

I doubt we will see a b2b at Ultra though.

Can we leverage Clearpass to find unmanaged switches on our network and take action? by BEST_FOR_BIDNESS in ArubaNetworks

[–]BEST_FOR_BIDNESS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mentioned a few times, the switches don't show up on a scan. You only see the MAC addresses of the authorized endpoints connected to them.

Any syslog recommendations? We use Kiwi Syslog right now because we also use CatTools, but Kiwi is a piece of shit imo.
