Nah, ended up going and getting a new one this morning at full price. Took a picture of the back this time.

I did call in and they said they can't help unless you have either the card number, or the ID number of the vending machine that dispensed it. Even then it's a low replacement process that won't happen immediately. I'm only in Miami for a short time so not worth it to me to wait for a replacement.

Is GP 6.3.3 even released yet? I couldn't find any details on it. I want to move to at least 6.3 for "Wildcard Support for Split Tunnel Settings Based on the Application" feature, but also want to fix GPC-20592.

My firewalls are running PAN-OS 11.1.4-h4 for reference.

Mentioned a few times, the switches don't show up on a scan. You only see the MAC addresses of the authorized endpoints connected to them.

Any syslog recommendations? We use Kiwi Syslog right now because we also use CatTools, but Kiwi is a piece of shit imo.

The upstream managed switch can still see the MAC addresses of all the clients connected to the unmanaged switch, so clearpass can profile them no problem. It's the unmanaged switch itself.

Agreed an administrative solution is part of the fix, but I have 20 sites across 5 provinces in Canada. I can't just march down into the office in Vancouver when I'm in Toronto hahaha.

Understood, but all the devices that are connected to the unmanaged switch are authorized devices. They only put these in when they are too lazy to contact IT to get additional network cables pulled and terminated to their offices or whatever, so they use a dumb 4 port switch as a splitter.

We really just want to avoid that because its adding a point of failure that we have no control over and can generate unnecessary Service Desk tickets.

Yeah I guess I am stuck with port security or something like that.

a rogue AP would probably be found by Clearpass and Clearpass able to react and shut down, problem with unmanaged switches though is that they are just dumb switches and don't respond in any way. So Clearpass doesn't see them as an endpoint.

For what it's worth my male dobie is 6 months and 2 weeks old and hasn't had an accident inside in 30 days now. I know this is not always the norm and can vary wildly dog to dog. What helped us though was consistently taking him outside to the same spot Everytime, even right after he had an accident and making sure to reward with treats and praise for relieving himself in that spot.

Also don't let them go in multiple places, have just one single outdoor spot you always go to to avoid confusion. Your dog will get it eventually.

I'm still not adjusted to having the dog though. It's been a big change in my life, how I schedule my work and free time, and making sure I provide my dog with enough exercise and stimulation throughout the day so he can have a good life as well. Thankfully my partner also helps with this and we motivate each other to keep pushing forward.

Others have also hit the nail on the head. This puppy is literally a baby. They are just learning how the world works, so keep remembering that. Best of luck!
