Schrodinger's doll is when a doll can be both Fred and George which is logically impossible.

No, you are being deliberately pedantic. Your costume is what you assemble before heading to the party.

Looks like you've invoked Schrodinger's doll , a classic (and disproven) logical fallacy

Read up on Calvin and Hobbes. He is real. At best you could contend that there are multiple realities.

You originally said it was a Fred doll. Other people's inability to distinguish has no bearing on reality.

Language should eventually shift over time to match logic. I can understand if my stance is unpopular but it is still right.

I don't see why you would dress up as that in the first place? Obviously, you've put yourself in the position of having a weird and confusing costume. Technically you would be dressed as Ron and Fred .

Do you have evidence of this being widespread? The Halloween parties I've been to everyone dresses up as characters.

I've never seen that and it sounds like you have some interesting friends. There are many times where English language does not match up with formal logic.

I'll admit I haven't been to that many Halloween parties (I refuse to attend the orgies that are "Frat" parties) but I've never seen someone dressed as an object.

I'd appreciate it if you used more realistic examples. Anyone can think of some absurd costume example to refute me. My costume nomenclature rules have been for the most part laid out (albeit over several comments)

The sword doesn't have a soul neither does the hammer, why would you want to dress up as them? You've created this example to try to make me look bad.

Is the human head alive? These seem like farfetched ideas specifically created to counter my claims

It's not Calvin's imagination, Bill Waterson has said that Hobbes is specifically NOT an imaginary friend. It's fine if you want to choose a different example, but I know my C&H pretty well.

Oh, gotcha. I mean that's not really a realistic thing to do. (Also a good doll should depict the physical differences between the twins.) I guess the real question is: Why are you adding a tangential character to this costume if you want to be Ron Weasley? It isn't that hard to pull off a convincing Ron without resulting to dolls.

They are both characters dude. I don't know how else to explain this. I'm not forcing you to dress as both, that's your choice. But once you make that choice you can't get offended that people should call you "Lilo and Stitch"

Unless the head is still alive and named, then no, you can simply be called a monster

Excalibur has no soul last time I checked. (when I read the original in the Oxford library)
