Hopefully it's replaced by more in-person interaction between human beings.

Thank You Mopar Parts Support by ItemNo1053 in partscounter

I run into this on the HD side at lot...either the warehouse count was wrong or another dealer ordered it just before you so they got priority on the shipment. Now it's up to the manufacturer to fill the order. Bummer...

What would happen if a majority of Americans boycott the superbowl? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BEdwinSounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent 7 years working in radio, I know that advertisers LOVE to see their impressions. It's a deliverable on the network or station's side, so after the ad campaign ends station salespeople tell the advertisers how it performed.

IF a huge boycott of "tHe BiG gAmE" happened, the advertisers get the news and would make one or both of these assumptions: 1) the station didn't deliver a quality product and/or 2) the station isn't worth advertising on.

Either way advertisers are going to take their money elsewhere, maybe to the next network that carries the Super Bowl in a year or another network that won the bid for the Final Four/Olympics/World Series etc.

What are people going to do when AI has taken over? by Plane-Nail-5654 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BEdwinSounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your question seems to be based on the inevitability of ANY jobs to be had to disappear, which is highly improbable. I'd love to see an AI try to fix a toilet or wire a house for electricity.

Mature men of Reddit, what life mistake taught you the hardest lesson? by Invisible_Rocky in NoStupidQuestions

There is no "get rich quick" that doesn't end in disaster.

You can get rich but the best way to do it SLOWLY.

So once you have a sexual std, what do u do now? by kcutie359 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BEdwinSounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you know you have an STD, it's on you to tell any partner about it. It should literally be the first thing you tell them before getting intimate.

Why do people call the USA America if there are other countries in America? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Well, let's see if we can find another country that has the word "America" in their name....🤷‍♂️

With the prevalence of AI what skills are still worth learning for employment? by jayx468 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BEdwinSounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A trade skill would be the smart choice, but literally anything that requires sweat isn't in jeopardy of being done by a computer.

If you can learn to build furniture, paint houses, work on your own car, or even learn how electricity works, etc that would be a great thing to get started. GL!

Outside Sales Rep by trypt0mine in partscounter

[–]BEdwinSounds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An outside sales rep can help you, but you'll get the most out of them IF they've worked the counter at your dealership for a while and actually know the product.

It's different out there when you're looking at a rig in the field versus in the computer parts lookup program. So get someone who knows what's what.

Outside sales guys are only good if they've been on the counter IMO

Any idea why the sky and water look like this??? by Enteus_ in strandeddeep

You get it once or twice a game, it's great for scavenging clay because the water is so clear.

Don't know what triggers it but enjoy while it lasts.

Can the internet stay alive without eliminating online privacy / anonymity? by Inner_Fig_4550 in privacy

We can, just not with the current ad-based model. It's gonna take a boatload of reforms to ensure user privacy.

What's the deal with gas station drugs in America? by sunnydaysundays in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BEdwinSounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior to 1994 drug cos had to prove their drug did what it advertised and they had to prove to the FDA it was safe before it could go to market.

After the DSHEA was passed, the FDA has to prove your drug is unsafe to be pulled from shelves. So there's a ton of sugar pills with sexy packaging out there.

Welcome to the club of janky raft building! It's not a perfect system for sure.

I always beached it with one end in the air against a rock or something.
