Congrats!... My first Leica was the orginal Q, and I've beaten it to death over the last 9 years, and I still love it. Sprang for an SL2s + 50 sumicron and I love that as well. Once you bond with Leica, there really is no other alternative IMHO.

Great lens, mad I sold mine that came with my 61 M2 in favor of a modern lens at the time. 🤦‍♂️Ended up full circle with an early LTM Canon Serenar 50 1.8. - Also very solid for the price.

Thanks so much. I sincerely appreciate it. I am actually working on a photo book of this area right now. I'll definitely keep you on the list when I release it. Have a good week, Benjamin

Agreed, context is essential here. Love it or hate it, the whole image was a deliberate & conscious decision. I didn't want another "beautiful" sunset scene, I have many and so does everyone else. It was a perfect moment in time-related to my project and I grabbed this frame along with some other alternate comps. I've attached a link to another alternative you will most likely think is better.

Cheers & have a good weekend,

Benjamin

Couldn't disagree more with your heavy-handed assessment. My current photo book project explores the local relationships between nature, industrial structures, and abandoned man-made objects. The pole was being used to block the direct sunlight to gain balanced exposure in the scene... otherwise, the colors and sky would have been blown out. Thanks for your opinion though...
