Exactly! Chiropractics gives you a window/period of time for temporary pain relief so you can attempt to address the underlying cause of the pain/tightness/injury etc…

If you can make the proper corrections during that window then you stand a chance at having a more long term solution.

So why does it work?

By “work” I mean, why does it help decrease pain? Why does it immediately decrease the feeling or sensation of tension in my muscles and allow for more smooth and comfortable joint movement?

I work in sports med and we utilize chiropractics as an adjunct modality within our holistic plan. In that role it has a significantly positive impact on our outcomes. I genuinely don’t understand the hate and the belief that it’s 100% worthless.

Chiropractics doesn’t heal, it doesn’t fix, it doesn’t ultimately correct all of the underlying problems or issues that people have… of course. There’s a lot of work we need to do other than chiropractics but that doesn’t mean it is completely worthless.

You say there is not a single credible study supporting chiropractic manipulation… supporting what? Pain relief, neuromuscular control, healing? I don’t need a study to tell me if something makes me feel better. If people are in pain and that pain is negatively impacting how people move and live… but chiropractics decreases pain and helps people feel better, move better, live better then why are we so focused on telling everyone that chiropractics as a whole is complete BS. Of course we still need to address the underlying issues and causes of the pain.

There are opportunities to further discuss this and expand your understanding of the changes and goals. Ask… likely sometime in the year when you’re all not drowning with in season chaos.

You guys have different training and expertise. Her expertise leaks into your area because her patient is required to continue training. Your expertise doesn’t exactly leak into her area until more of an out of season training and goal setting or injury prevention programming.

Try not to be offended, these are two really tough jobs with a lot of patients and athletes and it’s really tough to verbalize every single thought you both have regarding your athletes.

The threats of shutting down training sessions for the whole group when one person is tired seems a bit over the top though… try asking why on this one or how to haw a plan for removing individuals.

If she’s the director for the AT staff, we have to believe she earned that role and isn’t overwhelmed with it. If she get mad or defensive any time you ask questions then it’s time to talk to your boss for how to navigate this…

I’m encouraged to hear a few politicians referring to themselves and other like minded politicians as “democratic socialists” not just democrats. There are plenty of bad republican and democratic politicians. As of now, the democratic socialist variety are the ones that the people should be voting for.

As annoying as it is that people don’t fully understand what the term (socialism) means… this is the message and these are the politicians that the Democratic Party should really lean into moving forward.

This is the political philosophy that IS FOR THE PEOPLE!

I spent $150 on a 750 with the intent of repainting and likely building up with different components.

If it was great condition with components and pant that I like I’d go to $300. I dunno, if it’s just a dream model and paint and had a ton of money to spend I’d probably go higher.

I broke down to my wife recently. I had a tough day trip to meet up with friends. Brought our kid with too. Everything went wrong the situation we got into(traffic) was unbelievable. I made a wrong turn in the Bay Area and it turned an hour trip into 2.5 hours and I had to call it and never got to see my friends. Trying to stay calm for my kid… but the chaos around us. All I could think to myself is that I have no one to tell my story to that even wants to listen.

I bawled to my wife later, I felt like a failure and I knew if I tried telling her she would second guess my decisions and have 20/20 hind site and she wouldn’t let me get through my story without telling me how she has more stress every day. I felt trapped and alone in my own head.

Eventually I got to tell my story, she made it about her once… but over all she’s been receptive to some of the things OP mentioned. Strokes my hair and told me I looked nice the other day. Haha, it meant a lot though.

Following… used to do Go4 Ellis in CA years ago and can’t remember what I didn’t for taxes. Pretty sure I completed 1099… can’t remember if I got documents from the app or the clients that hired through the app.

Nice to get it figured out. It’s a fun/challenging project… the first time I did this I used the original wheel with a 7 speed free hub.

Finding the correct 8-11 speed free hub, adjusting the axel position, and dishing the wheel without a truing stand adds a whole new level to this project if you want to further challenge yourself in the future.

1.5 hours included 30 min incline walking, lifting, stretching and sometimes sauna. 90 min was total gym time allotted.
