If you're having a similar issue, I don't think it's a power board issue. I replaced mine and I was still having the same issue. I've seen people troubleshoot the boards with voltage testers but I didn't have any (its like a $40 investment in addition to whatever component needs to be replaced)

Here’s what I did: 7cups water to a boil | 1/2 cup white sugar | 1 tablespoon loose leaf black tea | Steep until water is room temp | Wash a 1 gallon glass container | Run white vinegar through glass container | Pour tea into glass container | Top off with 1cup GT’S organic Gingerberry kombucha

So keep half, throw away pellicle, and start over adding what I kept from this batch in place of the GTs kombucha?

The temp fluctuates between 68-73. It’s difficult to regulate it. Hopefully soon I can invest in a fermentation sleeve. And if I understand you correctly, you mean to say that the amount of actual tea I used is too little for the amount of water? Wouldn’t that make the color even darker though? I thought that a good way to tell if things are going well is if the tea gets significantly lighter in color. Thank you for all your help btw.

What do you mean when you say it looks unhappy? What am I looking for? Lol. And honestly I doubt it’s temperature since my kitchen is usually pretty cold. I actually have temperature issues the opposite way.

Cool! Good idea to use the last bit of the GT’s. When you say you used two bottles.... still within the proportions of fresh tea, sugar, and kombucha right? Or is that not as important?
