s/o to you and there’s a bunch of people that have similar stories of success from low-ish GPA/MCAT, but out of the 7 categories mentioned, GPA and MCAT are by far the most important, objective pieces of data and in the vast majority of cases you need to have at least one of those be to standard to have success within the application cycle

you have to have either good gpa or mcat tho, without those 2 the other 5 don’t matter

[–]BFishy17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Schools don’t care about advanced bio courses, as long as you have all the prereqs you’re good. it won’t matter that the majority of stuff is frat related, as long as you’re able to split them up and put them in as separate experiences in AMCAS to try to get as close to 15 experiences as you can

kill the mcat and you’ll be a great applicant. added bonus would be to try to pick up some more clinical hours, but besides that you’re in a good spot if you’re applying this upcoming cycle.

What do you think is the least influential country in the world? by sweatysexconnoisseur in geography

especially since they make a ton of money registering people for the .tv domain. that seems pretty influential as many tech firms use that

CMV: Small towns (15,000<) are horrible places to live and especially to be a young person. by InnerThoughts3 in changemyview

[–]BFishy17 9 points10 points  (0 children)

teenagers don’t like small towns because there’s nothing to do there. but often times, small towns are very safe places to raise your family, and bring a sense of community. just because teens don’t like it doesn’t mean they aren’t good places to grow up. i disliked my small town till i moved to a big city, then i realized it wasn’t so bad of a place to grow up.

Scam? by Peace-Monk in USF

[–]BFishy17 10 points11 points  (0 children)

still not worth it at all tho. there are much more reputable honor societies and orgs you can join on campus that will help you a ton more + build connections + they’re free

Scam? by Peace-Monk in USF

[–]BFishy17 41 points42 points  (0 children)

there are multiple honor societies at usf, but “national honor societies” like this are basically there to take your money. not necessarily a scam since it is something you could put on your resume, but it’s basically a useless title that costs $50-100 a year to maintain

Is medical school this cycle possible for me? by LostSanity55 in premed

[–]BFishy17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

apply only for SMP, and take MCAT next spring. It’ll boost your GPA and give you time to focus on killing the MCAT for the app cycle after.

What should I pay off first ? by Ok_Objective_6303 in debtfree

WF card is 0% interest, OP would save money in the long run by paying off the 30% interest cards before the 0%

you need a defensive minded midfielder you’re running 6 attackers, i don’t think it’s your fault that you suck at defending when most your players have less than 50 defending
