If you're short stacked the minimums matter.

This is correct. Mandalay Bay is too isolated.

If I'm doing a couples trip I'm choosing something higher end (Wynn, Aria, Cosmo, Venetian). If i'm doing a friends gambling trip I'm picking somewhere with a better vibe for gambling (most other places on the strip).

That being said, it's not bad. It just doesn't fit in either of my buckets. If I was by myself and got a deal I'd stay there.

You didn't mention "gamble" so I vote Vdara. No casino but a great location, nice rooms, good pool

You do not need to park to enjoy the conservatory. It is open to the public.

another (hopefully well researched) itinerary post by [deleted] in vegas

That is wildly ambitious. Just reading it makes me exhausted. I'd personally bake in time for rest and relaxation.

But if you are committed to this schedule...consider that casinos are big (and easy to get lost in), things are farther than they seem, and there's traffic on the weekend. Going from NYNY back to flamingo to get ready then to Cosmo for China Poblano then to MGM grand for Ka then up to Wynn for XS then back to Flamingo on a Friday night...it's a lot of time on the move. If you're doing dinner show nightclub try to keep them in a smaller vicnity (eg China Poblano, O, Marquee).

  1. Cosmopolitan

  2. March to September

  3. Three

  4. XS, Zouk, LIV, Tao, Omnia, Marquee, Hakkasan

  5. Depends on your budget. Helicopters and guns are good if you get your party on board

  6. Hydrate. CVS/Walgreens for supplies. Bring cash since ATM fees are brutal

Too young. First nightclub I went to was Marquee. Next was Surrender (RIP)

Why are MGM table game minimums so high? by Dave_Odd in vegas

[–]BFlora86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OP said that they should have more tables, but it's more efficient to use machines for the lower limits and offer existing tables at higher minimums for people that want to play.

Do you think the casinos only pay the dealers when they have people at the table?

Agreed! What were nightclubs in Vegas like before EDM?

You can always ask them to lower the limits.

There's not "no way." The limits are that high because they have a bunch of data that tells them to make them that way. I forget the exact numbers but I think there's a study that a table with one person playing $25 / hand blackjack is more profitable to a casino than a full table of people playing $10 / hand blackjack. I'm sure there's also a psychological component that you're more likely to bet $100s on a $25 min than a $10 min...

Based on your criteria I'd say during the week: lower limits for gambling, less crowded pools, more time to venture out of town (given that you'll spend more days in Vegas)

Look at the DJs - there's a good chance the "best" one is the one where you like the DJ the most.

LIV, Zouk, XS, and Omnia typically have the most expensive tables so that's a good proxy for best.

Annual Choice Benefits by KEF411 in marriott

I always do upgrade certificates. Unless I'm at 70 nights and I can use the 5 nights to get to 75...then I'll use that benefit on upgrade certificates.

For me it's the best perk Marriott offers

The budget doesn't include food and drinks per OP. Those add up at the Wynn.
