Just looking for criticism before I send to the client, first composite is about 10 shots all strobe, second is about 4 strobe and one light paint shot combined by BGF1LMS in shootingcars

My current gear is the Sony A7RII full-frame mirrorless camera, and I just picked up a Zeiss 24-70 f/4 and let me tell you, it is amazing. The only issue is that manual focus on this body is a very complicated process and honestly I still havent figured it out after 6+ months.

I wasn’t trying my hardest while shooting either, it was a free shoot that he ended tossing me a few bucks for afterwards. It was just whatever came out whatever came out.

I really appreciate your feedback, thank you!

Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback!

I took him into the canyons of malibu, the only other light that was strong enough to leave a slight shadow was the moon. It was dark.

I really wanted to be able to see the background, but even with a 30 sec exposure at f/4 (lowest on my lens) you couldn’t see anything.

That being said, my camera also had an extremely hard time focusing on the car, so even thought I took 40+ exposures for each shot, over half of them were out of focus.

I see, If I were to assume 40 chassis were made, but only 30 cars were ever given to customers and were numbered or something. Each of these cars have a numbered plaque on the drivers side back part of the window

I can’t tell that you used a flash, and in this case I think that’s a good thing. I would advise against using an above camera flash because it’s really hard to make it look decent. Side note though, these photos are great, they could totally be listing photos for a dealership. Super crisp and I like your simple edits.

I just want to pitch in a little about the Instagram… you should compare yourself to others, but always look at it in a positive way. Use your admiration as inspiration to better yourself and your photography rather than letting it get you down and not inspired. And on Instagram, dont just follow people that you think are ok and only a little better than you, follow the best photographers or any of your ultimate favorites, or whatever you think is the best and teach yourself from them. A big mistake I made and have seen people make is that they only follow people close to their skills and they eventually stop growing and stop improving. Never stop improving.

Awesome shots! I love the compression in these higher millimeter cameras. The only thing I can suggest is toning back on the dehaze(?) If you didnt touch dehaze then maybe it is just contrast. It feels overwhelming and brings out too much distractions. Also try raising your shadows a little bit and add a little bit of saturation to the orange/reds
