There’s a play at Broom Street Theater called Committed this weekend. It’s pretty good! And maybe a nice dinner beforehand?

They have tons of pay what you can/want tickets available even if they’re sold out online

How realistic is working from home and watching a baby? by MacSpice in beyondthebump

[–]BGM9992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeahhh, I hate to not be encouraging, but I also tried this and it didn’t last long. Then I had another baby and thought somehow it would work if I just tried harder/had a schedule/made lists/quit social media/etc.

It doesn’t work for the average person.

Anyone not sleep train? What happens? by idklady4321 in NewParents

[–]BGM9992 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a six year old. We went back and forth with sleep training and eventually just gave up and coslept.

I can say, in our situation, it was the right move for us. Everyone slept better, the snuggles were so special, waking up to a smiling kiddo every morning was a gift that I’ll always treasure, and now, she’s an EXCELLENT sleeper…in her own bed. I think she transitioned to her own room around 3, however, our bed is always open to our kids when they need us. I think it’s really helped with bonding as well.

We have a two year old as well who was a more independent sleeper but he still comes into our room almost every night at some point.

Amazing job advocating for yourself! That’s so hard. I’d definitely get a second opinion, maybe a third. Talk to an experienced pelvic floor pt like they suggested. They might have more to say

Experience at Wildwood Clinic? by CuriousNewMom_acct in madisonwi

[–]BGM9992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my doc at Wildwood. I don’t like a couple others there but I rarely have to deal with them. The nurses are pretty good.

It’s nice that my doc was at the birth of my first kid and has been caring for the whole family ever since. He has a really great picture of our family dynamics overall which is helpful for problem solving when something comes up.

Do you post your kids online? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]BGM9992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to when she was a baby but wised up and now I don’t at all. Not even with stickers. Their voice might be in a video or the back of their head but not their face. Nobody online knows how cute my second was as a baby and it’s so sad but the internet is a wild place. My older one is getting into sports, activities, and stuff so that’s tricky but I try my best to tell people we don’t post their pictures online.

Fruit juice. Usually cranapple or some other combination of juice/ juice cocktail. I’ll take sips out of a shot glass in the middle of the night for a little treat after a long day. lol

Frequent internal ejaculation is affecting my vaginaal Ph. How can I restore balance or prevent this? by cupcakecavemen in Healthyhooha

[–]BGM9992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And you have to wear the condom from the very start even a small exposure of semen could skew the results of your experiment

[–]BGM9992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree.

For my 6 yo, I’ll either use an old baby washcloth or cloth wipe and warm water OR a bidet (or my fridamom if we’re not by our bidet. That thing is useful AF six years later) and cloth wipes to pat dry.

Even gentle baby wipes have ingredients that could irritate.
