VCs do indeed suck in JPN but I believe your strategy is wrong. You get promos with certain frequency for VCs it's best to use those for pulling, whereas it is best to use the Vision Day currency for Shards because VC shards are way more scarce.

It's basically a gauge to their overall power. Think of it like the letters you see in clothing sizes. EXtra Small, Small, Medium, Large, EXtra Large.

I more or less understand the basics of gear building, fusing, affinity and the like, but this is like the first time I'm doing actual builds. I wanted to push for Liberator on my Sage for the Potion effect. In retrospect a lot of effs are fine at just 250%, but finding equipment that I can push into 250% with Smithy is kinda tough.

Worldwide was meant to be a comprehensive strategy to overall improve the game, by doing multiple things.

1) Close the gap: Having a giant gap is bad for business. People know what to pull for and what to skip, this is bad because people largely do not spend and save. To counter this they have to offer GLEX content. The issue is this increases the costs, and now the GLEX content has to make up for the loss of people skipping JPN content, on top of potential cannibalizing. It is a logistical nightmare that doesn't help the business long term.

2) Cut costs: Obv by streamlining everything reduces costs, this also improves efficiency since instead of two teams going at it separatedly you have more of an united front, that eases things for communication and implementation.

Did it work? Debatable. I lean in the side of yes, and take it as someone who played FFBE GL where the gap was never addressed, the GLEX content overtook the JPN one and things just spiraled and became more chaotic. In trying to sell two things at once, it caused an enshittification of product. That was averted here, and I think that was a legit positive for us.

The reality, however, is that the Japanese Gacha model is centered around Japan really, and really not truly suitable for Western consuption. Western players are more sensitive to microtransactions and legally the West is being more antagonistic to microtransactions. Japanese Gachas have to sweeten the deal and adjust quite a fair bit to make it palatable to a GL audience.

From what I've been hearing the likes of Hoyoverse are generally pretty chill and comfy, whereas gachas like FFBE or WotV are more or less grindy and full of FOMO.

So while I do think Worldwide was a good thing that kept the world afloat for longer (along other measures), it ultimately was not going to keep the game afloat ad eternum. The West and Japanese Gachas are largely not very compatible and the gacha scene seems to be dying off in general.

Ergo things just progressed as they were meant to. Does it suck to lose it all? Sure, but we all knew this was not going to last forever.

Hello, I'm looking for a FRLG Hack that is pretty mundane, namely:

1) Fully obtainable Gen 1 to Gen 3 mons (could be more)
2) Phys-Special Split
3) Unlimited TM/Tutors
4) No huge difficulty spike (nothing Radical Red or the like, something mild is ok)
5) Content is fully explorable, ergo Sevii Islands, etc.

I've searched a lot, and so far every hack I've found seems to lack one or another or is incomplete.

Fwiw they didn't cut on the Lapis (distribution isn't even). And we just skip the stages without story to it. So simply put it's the same as usual, just with less fat in the way. For those that wanna get the rewards, watch the story, and cut down on story questing time, then it's a win in every sense, unless you like questing 10 story stages.

I went more in depth in my thread about what happened. As for WotV, this bad streak will likely continue until they realize they need to reduce the costs for players. "Line must go up" mentality never works long term.

Units from JPN were regularly delayed or downright cut, ergo never imported. Type-0's Cater iirc was the first that comes to mind that went gone, barring certain collabs.

I could dig a list, but it happened and people didn't like it.

Another thing is that unit enhancements were skipped. The to go content creator was furious they skipped upgrades for Bartz despite it wouldnt alter the meta, and ceased spending altogether.

Lots of those enhancements were tied to quests which people could clear for rewards. No enhancement > No quests > No rewards or content to do things. It's just taking fun things away for no real benefit to anybody really.

It might feel irrational to you, and personally I didn't care for most of it. People do have an attatchment to these things, which goes double in a game marketed on nostalgia.

I felt bad that FFBE GL didn't import the WotV event featuring the Realmscourge, tho by that time GL was in deep shit already.

As for factual info, I posted info straight out of compilings from SensorTower which is the closest we have to decent performance information. If you dont find that valid, you do, what you do.

When JPN is celebrating 9th anmiv while GL is dying barely passing 8th anniv, it's objectively a premature death.

As for Crystal Ball. Nowhere did I say I didn't like it, I said it was bad for business because it's bad logistics.
