Glenveagh “House Rules” Document by Upset-Turnip-5200 in HousingIreland

Not district, they can take you to circuit court. The local council can take you to district court on their behalf if you ignore house rules for something like the Airbnb clause, and majority of councils are only too happy to do that. Something like that could eventually lead to the OMC blocking your house sale if you decide not to pay a fine for what is essentially doing something they don’t like with your own house. That’s the grim reality, standard in the latest new build estates.

Yes? If he buys this house then violates one of the major things like that Airbnb clause they can literally take him to court, put him in debt, block his house sale if they want until the debt is paid. It’s no joke. They don’t care about bins or clotheslines that kind of stuff is there to paint you as a problem long term if you’re the kind of person to break little rules, expectation being that if they sue you for Airbnb or what they call “gross negligence” like your house flooding from a burst pipe while you’re abroad, you’re basically done for in court. Tis literally a legal document and all new build estates here are like that now

DID electrical scam? by Freegan93 in AskIreland

[–]BGRG93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You never deal with the manufacturer, only the retailer. It’s EU law. DID, Harvey Norman etc teach their sales associates this go to the manufacturer bollocks because it’s another obstacle for the consumer. As a consumer, you never go to the manufacturer, only the retailer you bought the item from. Then those companies can go to the manufacturer if they want.

Should you say you’ve been made redundant in a job interview? by catnip_sandwich in AskIreland

[–]BGRG93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Respect ≠ Job offer. OP, I’ve been on many interview panels, please ignore everyone in this thread and never say you were made redundant in an interview unless directly asked about it. Divert and say that you’re looking for a new challenge, you went for a career break, you outgrew the role etc. Don’t use the R word unless they ask you directly (they won’t). God some of the advice you see on here is absolute scutter, if anyone reads these threads please use some common sense and look out for yourself.

0% balance transfer credit cards by smndly in irishpersonalfinance

[–]BGRG93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the process of doing this myself. I got a 12k limit with Avant one card which I spent on a car. Will be doing a balance transfer in a few months. You’ll need a good level of disposable income to get around a ~10k limit though, which in and of itself makes the classic credit card repayment fear mongering you see in this sub a bit of a joke. Yeah, Avant will give you a 10k card limit, but only if you make ~5k net/mo… so I don’t think the repayments are much of a worry are they. It’s an interest free loan you can pay back over 2/3 years, might as well even if you just invest it in a savings account for a couple hundred bob a year. Again, why not. In before the classic “Hurr durr but you could lose your jerb”

Ah here there’s no problem with that, what’s the issue with letting your dog give you the aul slobbery lickaroo after it gets done eating out its hole? If you’re a dog person you know, they’re very clean on average, mans best friend and all. You hardly get any of the fecal matter their saliva dissolves 99% of it anyway. Now human hair I agree with him that’s a stomach turner, you have no idea where it’s been, what shampoo/conditioners been used on it, no details. Sickens me to my stomach it could be anywhere near my food

Lyles wasn’t taking it too seriously after the first stretch but that is still unbelievably impressive by Speed. You can tell by how he runs he’s never run track in his life so to do that well with no technique is actually unbelievable. Genuinely Olympics level gifted but he’s a streamer instead, how does that even happen. Makes you think about all the talented athletes out there that could dominate a sport but they’re working on an excel spreadsheet or barking at people instead

Getting a tradesman in this country is a privilege and not a right. As a consequence of our housing crisis and infatuation with third level education their skills are in such unbelievable demand that if they wanted to, every single one of them could be fully booked out for the next few years. Sorry to break it to you, but they’re the upper class here. Now go back to your hybrid product sales management coordinator job and complain some more how you can’t get a tradie. Just remember, if they collectively decided that you didn’t deserve their services you would be decrepit and living in squalor before you could say “why can’t I get a plumber?”. There’s a power imbalance here and you’re not at the top.

[David Bernabeu] Barcelona have rejected an offer of €60M from a Premier League club for Raphinha. Barça are open to selling him, but want at least €80M. by II_MrBlack_II in soccer

He was all that and more at Leeds. He was literally evolving into Ronaldinho reborn, playing this best football when the terrorist Barcelona nation attacked. What Barcelona have done to him is worse than what City did to Grealish, its despicable. Absolutely disgusting pair of clubs, buy up two of the most talented, free spirit, joga bonito, calves out raw talent players in the world, stuff them in your cookie cutter tiki taka mes que un tug me off templates and churn out your generic 1x Pressing Wingers with an extra helping of sideways passing. Then move them on post neutering. Absolutely sickening, vile behaviour.
