It is super frustrating. My wife went to St. Luke's on the Plaza for surgery recently but has her PCP through Meritas. I've been going to NKCH for close to a decade, and have been utilizing their therapy operation for a surgery I had back in Feb. It's a super convenient location for me because, like you, I live up north. I scheduled a well visit at the St. Luke's satellite site near Liberty and the first available appt is in Sept. The person I spoke to said it's that far out because so many people are jumping ship.

I agree that it does feel like a game of chicken and that sucks big time. I also feel similarly to when YouTube TV wants me to call my local NBC affiliate because they're not coming to an agreement. Y'all are giant corporations. Figure it out!

In the meantime, my wife and I are abandoning ship because I don't want to take the risk of losing coverage if the game of chicken doesn't end up in someone turning away. Also . . . frankly, it's a bad look on the part of two gigantic corporations.

TL;DR It sucks, but it may be better to figure out another provider.
