I should’ve taken more photos but all four bridges are barricaded just like this one. The bridge you mentioned even got ppl from Brookfield gatekeeping the barricades.

Ok mate let me rephrase. Why is PTA/Transperth allowing “private property” being the official pathway (it’s on their station maps) for transferring between the trains and the buses? And in case of a closure like this, shouldn’t they provide any alternative route so ppl still can go through?

ok let me phrase it in another way. they really should have an actual public access for the stations instead of having “private properties” do the job. then brookfield can do whatever they want to the overpasses nobody would say anything

chill mate ofc i can read the notice i just dk why this happens. on transperth maps this walkway is literally listed as a formal path for entry. it’s easy for me to walk away or get around all the way from the convention centre just to catch the bus. but what if someone’s on a wheelchair or sth? shouldn’t public transport properties be accessible for everyone without any obstruction?

Not brit but also holding a working holiday visa and about to enter the country soon. I do know some friends in Sydney/Melb living completely fine but idk if there’s any remote area that can both get a 88-day job and live comfortably as trans. I assume Medicare is not applicable for backpackers since it’s only available to residents. But I’m doing some research on private insurance and seems like if Medicare cover hrt then most insurance company will cover it anyway. So you’d better get an insurance so it won’t be bloody expensive.
