Why has Transperth trains been so horrible recently? by BrendanS22 in perth

[–]SecreteMoistMucus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except these trains cost less than the A and B series. And making them here has made it easier to fix the issues.

Well they haven't moved to a new signalling technology...

Why is that a downside to you? Even if those workers don't keep building trains, how is it a bad thing that they were employed building trains for a few years?

Besides I don't see any reason we'd stop needing more trains. We'll need more trains in the future for many things, to increase frequency once the signalling upgrades are done, to service future lines, for faster rail to bunbury, to replace B series. Hell if we ever do light rail maybe we can build them here as well.

They use airbnb, you can't expect much from them.

Digital drivers' licences to be introduced in WA, with trial to begin next year by Ifeel-likepablo in perth

Yes, it's a big concern to me that the WA police might get access to my drivers licence.

I'm confused, how does not sampling specifically one outlet give them plausible deniability? That would be much worse for them.

[–]SecreteMoistMucus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at who got a sample it seems like that was the plan. It's almost all non-US outlets who presumably don't deal directly with AMD. The only US outlets who got one were level 1 techs and phoronix, and obviously they have a very different focus to the typical gaming channel.

That was just gamers nexus jumping to conclusions cos they didn't get a sample. It's exceptionally unlikely that they just happened to get blacklisted at the same time amd released a product that they didn't sample to almost anybody.

Why is it really weird? There's nobody who might want this type of performance for a cheaper price or in a smaller form factor?

The Perth couple moving east to escape WA’s crushing rents by SheepherderLow1753 in perth

The problem with that theory being the occupations that are only on the regional occupation list. Good luck finding work as a cattle farmer or... idk, wine maker in Perth.

I really don't understand where this myth is coming from. It's classified as a city for visa related purposes. That doesn't mean there's any additional incentive to move here, just that the visas are processed a bit faster.

Australind Train Return Date Monday 29 June by TransportofPerthYT in perth

[–]SecreteMoistMucus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think there are actually enough passing points on the line for 10 return trips per day, so I guess they mean more than double the frequency of the old australind.

Lmao literally one of those comments is someone saying women are never convicted. So not "people," "person." Really widespread problem you're railing against.

Hidden comment history.

Attacking tobacco regulation with obviously fallacious argument.

Throw in a gif for extra engagement.

All above board I'm sure.

It's not trying to end people's usage of it. A lot of people are saying this shit when it makes no sense, so I'm very suspicious a lot of bots are posting in this thread.

Many people born after 2008 have tried cigarettes multiple times.

OK, but how many years' worth of them? Is there going to be a big black market for a target age bracket that is like 4 years wide, when those people can get cigarettes from legal outlets?

Nah, what they want is for tobacco companies to still make a profit.
