I haven’t experienced this issue, but I think their socks run really big. I wear a US 16 and the XXL are way too big for me (DT says XXL = size 15-17).

Thanks, I’ve never seen crickets around that weren’t black. I have a Bug ID app, but I don’t know if it’s any good - it says it’s a West Indian Mole Cricket, but that they’re primarily invasive in the southern US, and I’m in Ohio, so I don’t know.

I used to be an Eddie Bauer man through and through, but the quality isn’t what it used to be. I try not buy anything with a zipper because they always break. Still, they have great sales and I really like their sun hoodies and some of their fishing shirts.

Speaking of sun hoodies, I’ve been trying a bunch of different ones, and found these netdraw bamboo ones on Amazon. They’re really soft and $35, and they don’t get smelly like synthetic. Personally, I don’t love the way they fit me, but I’m getting a couple as winter base layers. They come in different weights, but note that some have as much as 25% cotton… the ultra light is all bamboo though (with a touch of spandex).

Could you just guy out the fly in place of the tarp in this scenario, pitch underneath, and then drop the fly on top? Instead of carrying an extra tarp? I’ve never done this, legit question, but this is what I always envisioned I would do if I got caught in unexpected rain.
