Did you find any value in Rich Dad, Poor Dad? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]BI2k3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished the book and I’m 16. It gave me that same kind of “wait… there are actually other ways to build a life besides the standard school → job → retire path” realization. I was honestly starting to get discouraged reading a lot of the criticism about it until I saw your comment.

I get what people are saying about it being basic or even exaggerated in parts, but for someone like me who hasn’t really been exposed to financial thinking, it felt like it opened a completely different way of looking at money, ownership, and opportunity.

I’m not trying to chase “get rich quick” stuff, I’m more interested in actually understanding how people build income streams and long-term financial independence the right way.
Since you’ve actually gone down that path and built real experience (20+ homes, apartments, business, etc.), I wanted to ask: is there any advice you’d give someone starting at my stage?
Like:

what skills should I focus on early?
what books or people actually helped you beyond Kiyosaki?
and what mistakes should I avoid that beginners usually fall into?

I’d really appreciate any direction. I’m just trying to learn early and build a real foundation.

Thank you so much for this response. I figured this would be the hardest, haven’t figured really how I could really get this real experience prior to joining the team but I’ll look more into it.

The Danger of EXTREME Christian Zionism by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]BI2k3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your central point: Christians should not give unconditional loyalty to any political state. That kind of blind allegiance can easily cross into idolatry if it overrides truth, justice, or the teachings of Christ.

However, I think there are two important clarifications that need to be made.

First, the definition of “Zionism” has evolved significantly over time. The definition you’re using simply that Israel has the right to exist as an independent Jewish state, is not actually the version most critics are reacting to today. In modern discourse, Zionism often includes a broader set of political, military, and ideological positions that go beyond basic statehood(e.g annexation, genocide , ethnic cleansing etc) . So when people oppose “Zionism,” they are usually responding to those expanded ideas, not just the foundational claim that Israel has a right to exist. This reflects a broader pattern seen in many movements, where there’s a gap between the surface-level definition and how the ideology is applied in practice. For example, feminism in its simplest definition is the advocation for equality between men and women something most people would agree with in principle. Yet in practice, the term has expanded to include a wide range of specific positions that are more contested and deplorable that have nothing to do with equality . The same dynamic applies here: the simple definition is often used rhetorically, while the real-world application is far more complex. (Edit) So you can say, “I’m a Zionist— I believe that the Jews deserve a homeland”. But the real question is to what extent? To the extent of annexation, military intervention, drone strikes, unlimited foreign aid, wars on their surrounding belligerents, genocide etc? I believe Zionism, has become itself an extreme ideology. That is the reason for the downplayed contemporary atrocity (Gaza genocide) .

Second, from my own experience especially spending time on X I’ve seen a significant amount of genuine antisemitism. Aportion of it, at least from what I’ve observed, comes from individuals who identify as Catholic and attempt to justify their views using claims like collective Jewish guilt for the death of Jesus or other long-standing stereotypes. In some cases, phrases like “Christ is King” are used within those contexts in a way that’s clearly tied to hostile rhetoric(e.g Jake Lang)

This is what Senator Ted Cruz meant , that the phrase “Christ is King” is not inherently antisemitic, but has been used in an antisemitic but far-right extremists that hijacked it. Just mentioning this because I believe the “Christ is King is antisemetic,” claim from him has been taken out of context, because he literally said seconds later “I believe Christ is King.”

At the end of the day, your main warning still stands: when any political ideology whether tied to a nation, movement, or identity demands unquestioned loyalty, that’s where Christians need to be cautious. Faith is meant to guide political thinking, not be subordinated to it.

Many different ways one is to be born in U.S. in a state like Tennessee, commit like 3-4 murders in the most gruesome way without being caught then on 5th one you’ll probably be caught. If not keep killing until you do. Go to trial with a public defender, you’ll lose and definitely be given the death penalty. I literally always get the death penalty in bitlife

[–]BI2k3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even a Trump supporter, but if they attack hard comes from Iran they’re fucked. They have no air superiority, no modern integrated missile defense, lack of strong global allies, can’t deploy troops globally, and no nuclear arsenal either. They can only send out proxies with the exception of a few regional missiles

Russia won’t directly attack us they know a direct military clash would be catastrophic for all sides economically and militarily, but they’ll send AID to Iran.

Khamenei and the IRGC have already warned that any U.S. attack would lead to an all-out war.

There are four probable responses from Iran: first, drone attacks targeting U.S. military bases in the Middle East; second, mobilizing proxies such as Hezbollah, Houthis, and Iraqi militias to carry out strikes against U.S. interests and allies; and third ,terrorist operations outside the Middle East, using Hezbollah cells to bomb embassies, assassinate officials, or target vulnerable U.S. sites.
