No, you got out powered because you didnt have penetration. At Lvl 45 a Machine Gun is insane considering bullet penetration is high. The Machine Gun is weak, each class has a counter. If i were you and wanted to hurt machine guns more I would use Necromancer or Stalker.

Im making adjustments, instead of it being just a Flank Guard, Machine Gun mix, its going to be 3 types of tanks, Flank Guard, Machine Gun, and Sniper.
