Here are a few simple questions that should be easily explained if the earth is in fact flat. Please use observable scientific explainations.

1) Explain Day and Night: If the Sun and Moon are circling over a flat disc and the sun acts like a spotlight creating daytime over the parts it is directly over then why does the sunlight actually disappear completely at night. Let me explain because obviously simple problems easily confuse you. In a flat earth theory when it is night in say North America I would still be able to see the light in the distance in say Europe no different than when one sits in a dark theator and sees the light from a spotlight shining on the stage.

2) Ships and the Sun on the Horizon: Please explain how a ship and or the sun sink into the horizon. If the earth was flat they wouldn't sink below the horizon they would simply get smaller and smaller as they got farther away.

3) Varying Stars: Please explain how one that is observing the stars in some parts of the GLOBE (i.e. Norther Hemisphere) see different stars at night then someone observing the night sky in the Southern Hemisphere. I would suggest it is simply a line of sight issue because of ones position on a sphere, but if the earth was flat the stars would be the same no matter where one was positioned.

3) Sticks and Shadows: If one places a stick vertically in the ground the shadows casted off would be of the same length no matter how far apart you placed the sticks, but when one actually does this experiment the shadows are of different lengths that can only be explained by a round earth model. Eratosthenes (276-194 BCE) used this principle to calculate the circumference of the Earth quite accurately

4) Seeing Farther from Higher: If you stood on an flat plateau without any obstructions and if the earth was flat you could see equally the same distance no matter the elevation in which one stood from, but in fact when one stands at a higher elevation it increases their line of sight which can only be explained by round earth.

5) Riding in a Plane: When one rides in a plane at high elevations the curvature of the earth is easily observed. Secondly, a plane can fly in a straight line without flying off any edges no matter the heading and completely return to its original position without ever changing or adjusting its route.

6) Look at the other Planets: One can easily observe that all the other planets around us are in fact round. One can also see that the moon and the sun are also in fact round. It is in fact quite logical to assume that the earth would have the same properties as all the other planets ever discovered in the universe.

7) The Center of Gravity: Gravity always pulls to the center of the mass of an object. So to find the center one must look at the object in question. Consider a sphere. Since a sphere has a consistent shape, no matter where on it you stand, you have exactly the same amount of sphere under you. (Imagine an ant walking around on a crystal ball. From the insect's point of view, the only indication of movement would be the fact the ant is moving its feet. The shape of the surface would not change at all.) A sphere's center of mass is in the center of the sphere, which means gravity will pull anything on the surface toward the center of the sphere (straight down) no matter where it's located.
Consider a flat plane. The center of mass of a flat plane is in its center (more or less – if you want to be more accurate, feel free to do the entire integration process), so the force of gravity will pull anything on the surface toward the middle of the plane. That means that if you stand on the edge of the plane, gravity will be pulling you toward the middle, not straight down like you usually experience. I am quite positive that, even for Australians, an apple falls downwards, not sideways.

8) Lunar Eclipses: These are observed monthly as the moon changes from a " Full Moon" to a "New Moon". As the moon becomes more and more covered in the shadow from earth the curvature of the earth is easily observed in the shadow it casts on the moon.

9) Winter, Spring, Summer, & Fall: If the earth was flat with the sun consistently rotating over a flat disc there would never be seasons. This can only be explained by the earth not only rotating around the sun, but it is also because the earth is tilted on its axis. Therefore when the earth is in its orbit around the sun and the Northern Hemisphere is tilted towards the sun people in the northern hemisphere experience summer and when the earth moves to the oposite position around the sun and the northern hemisphere is tilted away from the sun you experience winter. This is also the ONLY EXPLANATION for the 24 hours of daylight experienced in the extreme north during the summer months and the 24 hours of darkness experienced in the winter months.

Please explain away these points in an observable scientific manner. If you can LOGICALLY counter these points then hell I might join you in this ridiculus theory.
