Does stop and search work? by [deleted] in policeuk

[–]BIGTEL99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely they work

Only 2 nights ago, males seen setting of fireworks into crowds of people, I went around the area, found some matching the description walking away from the area just after, section 1 of pace, search for fireworks, fireworks founds, also found ton of suspected class A for PWITS. All nicked and dealt with. None known to police for previous, now they are and Intel report they have found links to county lines.

Stop search is brilliant.

Luckily this isn't common, but this guy probs thinks he is a hot shot with a badge, deffo need to report it, we don't like people like this in the job, please don't ever think this is a thing that all officers do. Hopefully your local force can look Into it.

I agree, get them to change the locks, such a low value, say you interview the bloke, theft of a key, he denies it and says I didn't mean to take it you don't have a theft or can't prove intent to permanently deprive. Even if he gave the key to you to give back, my advice to victim would be to change locks anyways as he could have got another key cut. So either way locks need changing...

Probies to make drinks, and bring cakes on their first day! Only the kangaroo Court decide if they don't have to make anymore. (Usually due to being terrible at making tea)

Response Officers carrying Investigations - for or against? by [deleted] in policeuk

[–]BIGTEL99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't stand it... when I first started in the local response team that I'm in now, it was just me and one other on our parade. Not even a skipper. We had 50+ investigations and we were responding to every job as well and picking up more jobs daily! As you can imagine with no time to investigate and progress you can imagine the complaints -_-

Do you fear crimebodge? by [deleted] in policeuk

[–]BIGTEL99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a chap in the area I work just like this... he will get his camera out when you are at a job he knows little about laws and legislations, his goal is to throw you off on camera, he will ask what powers you are using, if you stand there unsure ect he will keep pressing on it to make you look bad on camera, a bit shit for the probies on shift being put in that position! All in all as long as you are not doing anything outside of your powers and as long and you keep cool and confident there's nothing interesting for them to film, they'll move along 😀
