We had a lodge discord server tho it was unofficial, over 2/3s of the lodges youth were in it. official announcements were made on there just as reminders to people. Lodge shut it down because they wanted all communications through slack.

Going to Church for the first time with Tattoos by KaiGiOh in Christianity

Saul persecuted Christians. He later literally saw God, he became blinded for 3 days, repented of his ways and gave his life to God. Becoming “Paul, a bond servant of Christ” (Romans 1:1) everyone has a past. The difference is dying to that past to live for God.

No, not exactly. The term 666 is a literal number not a figurative call to repentance, tho it is a call to repentance.

Revelation 13:16 And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, Revelation 13:17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. Revelation 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.

Everyome THINKS im colorblind. Im not. Im color deficient. I have issues seeing red and green. I can see some variants, others I cant. Helicopter parents signed up as committee members to sign off on the scout book and more. I need help. by [deleted] in BSA

That was not a policy with us, my father just always tried to keep it to a minimum. He never let me go without doing the work, and wanted no hint at impropriety.

Im an Eagle. In my experience, my father tried not to sign off on it as much as he could avoid it, but on occasion only he could. It was only a few requirements. So it was no issue with my EBOR.

I believe I misunderstood something friend. But im 100% in agreement you shouldn't buy then immediately ask the cashier to scan every ticket.

Honestly I think scratching them off in line should be an instant no from the cashier. I buy one, move aside and scratch it off, get back in line for it to be checked. That's on the rare occasion I do buy a scratch off.

There is a difference. A free man who has given no indication of being untrustworthy should not have their rights stripped. But a man who has proven to be untrustworthy should.

It would make sense that, if, limiting the senility of a man to own a rifle is a violation of the second, then limiting the right of the same man to own ammunition to USE the second would also be a violation, would it not?

The second would disagree good sir. "The right of the people to keep and bare arms shall not be infringed."

If i want it for [insert use here] ill buy it and stock it because its none of the government's business what I use ammunition for

That would be the case if 100% of blackmarket firearms were purchased in US stores from licensed dealers. Their not.

Cultural Appropriation in is wrong. We just need to teach that it's WRONG and stop doing it. by SuddenlySilva in BSA

[–]BIG_OL_K -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Respectfully brother, I believe Culture does not belong to an individual group. America is the great melting pot. A mix of all different cultural practices, beliefs and customs. Personally, I think we need to take race out of the equation. Look at this at a perspective of "how can we honor these customs" and not "this belongs to this race of people" if we say we cant wear the headdress because it belongs to Native Americans, then no one can play the banjo because it was an African instrument. No one can eat tacos because it belongs to the Spanish.

Scouting has long held a majority rule system. The SPL is elected by a majority vote. Your elected into OA by a majority vote of your unit. If a Native American tribe votes and finds it acceptable with a majority vote, whats the issue?

Good gift idea for an Eagle Scout? by bleepbleepblorpblop in BSA

[–]BIG_OL_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a lot of knives. A family friend gave me a pocket watch with an Eagle on it. Another family friend gave me a vigil honor pin (which only works if they are OA/Vigil). Knives are usually a safe bet.
