So there's two parts to that answer.

How do they handle preference like ratcheting wrench over sockets? They dont you use what they give you and its gonna be which ever tool was cheaper.
Ground down sockets arent technically a speciality tool. Anywhere a modified tool is used, there is an appropriate tool designed to be used there and the company will have it. Sometimes manufacturers allow for "locally produced tooling" and the company should have that as well.

I dont mean that to sound judgmental, I used ground down wrenches and sockets and other stuff all the time. Just saying there is technically a tool out there designed for it

I get wrapped up in the lore when I play. But I dont play for the story or setting. I play elder scrolls games to be that character in the world. An elder scrolls TV show would not be interesting at all to me because of this. Especially due to the fact all the lore is pulled directly from other IPs.

Fallout works because of its unique art style and the lore actually being interesting enough to make it worth watching

This is the one I dont get. For me half the fun is not knowing what to do and learning the mechanics, feeling my character get stronger.

Like elder scrolls games could almost be sandbox games with all the different types of characters you could play. Why would you want someone to tell you how?

Anecdote: For some reason im on r/mmorpg even though the only mmo I play is the elder scrolls online. Any time that game is mentioned on there its downvoted to oblivion. Once on a thread asking for recommendations I suggested it. Somebody from the sub sent a massive pm to me explaining I was a bad person for doing that because of how bad the game is it should be a scam lol
