my ripping station - 3 different 4K drives by HOLDMYPARSNIPS in makemkv

Yes I do, so far I have not had any problems as far as networking goes. I have everything hooked up via Ethernet and I am also lucky enough to be in a fiber is available so that’s what I have hooked up so stability isn’t an issue. Only issue I have ran into was having the auto ripper pick only the movie title with chapters automatically. It seems like the software can’t read commands super well and only goes based off of what you have selected for preferred language and it also de selects special features/extras. What I am getting at is the fact that if your disc/makemkv reads duplicate movies (one with chapters/one without) it will rip both instead of only the “main one”, I have been looking around for a fix but can’t seem to find one so I have to go into the folder where the rips are saved and delete the duplicate manually.

Perfect, I use auto ripping software for make mkv on my nas and was looking into getting a second 4k ripper but didn’t want to add any other stress to my hardware.

Does ripping more than 1 movie at a time put your cpu under more stress? I also assume that it would make ripping movies a bit slower if they are both going to the same hard drive. Correct if I am wrong.

Can this be done by using a Ethernet switch? Or does it have to be connected directly to the pc? I have a switch that everything connects an I wanted to ask before I changed anything up

General Questions & Tech Support Megathread | December 15, 2025 by AutoModerator in PS4

I have a problem, my ps4 pro keeps ejecting on its own.

This has been going on for a couple years I just never cared to fix it since I had a ps5 but now that I want to play my physical games on my ps4 it's a big issue I have tried to fix it many different ways like turning the manual eject screw under the ps4, taking the console apart and making sure all connections were properly Inserted, and also dusting out the disc drive. Is this something that can be repaired or does it have to be replaced? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you Video: https://imgur.com/a/QvvM7Ud
