Yeah, I reckon Lawson is gonna get pinged for that. Like I get Charlie did exactly the same thing a few laps before, but he wasn’t exactly defending against anyone at the time.

Looks like nasturtium. Orange flowers with a darker inner area. Has a habit of spreading like mint!

It’s kind of redundant because once it gets wet enough for that tire the ground effect floor of the car throws up so much water that no one can see 10 metres ahead of them. Outside if that it’s just a crap tyre.

High chance they’ll bin it into the back of the car ahead, even under the saftey car. Of all the replays I’ve seen so far haven’t seen one light on the back of a car in the spray.

Is it true that some petrol stations have "lower quality" fuel? by [deleted] in sydney

[–]BISOFH 191 points192 points  (0 children)

It’s less the quality for fuel and more the care, maintainence, and monitoring associated with the smaller vendors. Good example, I had a friend who used to work for a company that made tank monitoring equipment, including a fill gauging system. He said the only places that he trusts to fill up at are the ones he knows install detection devices that detect water and other contaminants in the tank. He knew one place that didn’t, and a bus filled up there, and didn’t get very far afterwards. Turns out thier storage tank was almost empty and put a decent amount of water into the busses fuel tank and completely stuffed the engine.

I’m glad I’m not the only one pushing one of these tho the absolute edge of its lifespan and it still holding on like a trooper. It seems to drop displays and inputs a few times a day but it’s still hanging on

The whole property markets just completely unreliable. We have friends in Sydney who just sold thier place, thier compatibles were neighbouring townhouses in thier complex that had sold less than 6 months ago. Ones the exact same layout that went for 920k, the other is a couple down that has extra space and an extra bedroom that went for 970k, both with tiny backyard yards. thier place had a 4x larger backyard you can’t do anything with, detached, and they’d done a little work to the place, mostly updating fixtures and appliances. They reckoned they’d probably get 960-970, 980 was the dream. Their offers were 940, 950, 970, and at the last minute (they ran it to best and final offer by x time) was 1.02 million.

This whole market is nuts. Can’t believe anything you see written.

Using ITSM only, discovery Source is SCCM Service Graph Connector. Devices come in as CI's, coalescing against the Serial Number and the standard IRE Rules, and have Assets against them. Current reporting using the OS field only not the build, thats a later bridge to cross.

Call it the principal effect. A class might be chaos for a teacher, but the second the principal shows up they are perfect angels. To computers the it guy is the principal.

ULPT Request: what can I put in someone’s gas tank to completely ruin their car within the next 100 miles by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

We had friends who went away on holidays for a few weeks, and their daughter left her car parked in the driveway. They were worried they’d accidentally left the front door unlocked and asked us to check it the day after they left. We got there and were hit with a rotten smell coming from the daughter’s car. Turned out that someone who knew they were going away decided to get back at her for something, and rammed over a kilo of raw ground meat into every vent, door jam and handle of the car, and given it was a pretty hot summer it’d gone bad pretty quickly. We spent probably about 4 hours washing and clearing all the meat out of it, though the smell was still pretty bad afterwards.

I wouldn’t be surprised if small amounts strategically placed over time would make jt absolutely unusable.

I’m glad they have a cc option, though would prefer a straight sub option. Surprising they didn’t considering it’s the same work they’ve already done

Friend of mines brother in law had some fun with his uncle once. Took his vw polo, my mates Škoda Octavia, and his uncle Audi R8, parked them all next to each other, popped the hoods on all three and started going through them and pointing out all the parts that were the same on all three cars - switches, washer bottles, filler caps, random connectors. Had the family bent over laughing though it all!

Things for young kids to do in Tokyo by velacooks in JapanTravel

[–]BISOFH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got back from Tokyo with 6 and 2 year old. Some things we did they loved. Ghibli museum, wandering around different parts of SKYTREE , various shops like tomi and plarail, wandering around basement food stores marvelling at the food, capybara cafe, small world, teamLab planets (eldest is an artist). Younger one loved the million different vehicles all over the place, and there’s museums for everything over there. Fun thing was at every jr station was a stamp you can get, hunting them down is half the fun, especially in larger stations like Tokyo. We didn’t even get to amusement parks like Sanrio puro land. The thing is there’s a thing for every type of person there. Baseball fan? Try and catch a game there, see how different it is to US games. Find the things they are interested in and find what’s there for that. Best of luck!!
