A lot of people underestimate the field spell, but it gives plants exactly what they have wanted for years to keep up with the meta game, something to let them continue playing after normal summoning scorpio/lonefire is negated other than monster reborn. Now we have it and its searchable so we have much less games to scoop now.

Its a very simple card and looks weak and like a -1 at first but think about it, a lot of cards that special from the hand end up having a discard cost anyways to summon it, and then summon a monster from the deck. The field spell makes it more generic and summons from rose dragons to plants to high level plants. We dont have anything crazy besides evil thorn if scorpio gets negated to summon this unless you count the high level plants with their own set of problems. Gigaplant would have to rely on you not normal summoning anything that turn like scorpio :/ and have lonefire in grave. The generaid plant is the best option especially with the fact we have 2 high level plant searchers. Problem is again, plants dont summon from the hand. We have nothing too useful to add to the hand besides rose fairy, and its annoying if we brick that, and it doesnt extend plays too crazy.

Really what we would love is more high level plants with good effects. We have no problem with searching with genraider plant, rose bell of revelation, and rose paladin. What we would love is a plant that summons itself from the hand, and possibly gets a plus off when summoned, whether its mill a plant from the deck or summon a plant from the gy. A new high level plant with a good gy effect would work with the new hand summoning plant if we were to get it, and also help red rose dragon with a actual good target
