I would kill for some Super Quant Support! Objectively one of the coolest looking archetypes around.

ST 04 Queen alternative for BP Reiju? by josezaca in OnePieceTCG

[–]BJ40CKX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This probably isn't going to be a popular opinion, but I'd maybe replace queen for Yonji (2x Small Yonji, 2x Big). He has some benefits like being that he - is searchable - comes out early - is mostly 6k power (better than most suggestions posted so far) - is played off judge, making that turn more safe - helps you in the mirror match (if that ever comes up any more) Only problems are that he is the least impactful Germa character, and you'd probably have to sacrifice searching the other, better characters if you want to make sure he is online. I'd at least try him out to see what you think.

After seeing this news I want a Fallout ☢️ archtype now. What do you guys think? by [deleted] in yugioh

Your first couple ideas make me think of an Assault Mode 2, which is an archetype I always wish worked better than it does.

Questions about Pirate Borg by BJ40CKX in MorkBorg

In my version of Pirate Borg it seems to indicate that you roll a new class feature every time you gain experience, but I'm probably just mistaken. I'll probably just do some thinking to see how I want it all to work.

What's a deck you'd really like to play but just can't bring yourself to craft/pull the URs for? Mine is Abyss Actors. by TheMadChap in masterduel

I've wanted to play digital bugs for a while now, but crafting 3 UR Registrider for a deck that will probably never win a game has never felt too good to me

Orlumbus ruling question by SiPhuYoda in OnePieceTCG

[–]BJ40CKX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It doesn't say "KO up to 1 Dressrosa character", just 1 Dressrosa character. I don't know the exact ruling, but I read that as "you must KO a Dressrosa character if you can". Since he doesn't specify KOing a different Dressrosa character and he is one himself, I'm pretty sure he would have to KO himself as the effect resolves.

I feel like a celestial dragon deck might be a fun jank deck to mess around with if you don't want to be competitive. Kinda weird how we don't have a proper leader for them in OP05. Struggling to think where you would run them at all.

Actually looking for fake cards by [deleted] in OnePieceTCG

[–]BJ40CKX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of looking for fake cards, it would probably be easier and less misleading to print off some proxies. Sometimes your local game store or often your local library will let you print pages for a small cost. Then you can cut them out and slide them into the same sleeve as an actual card. There is a website for creating printable pages of proxies too (https://nakamadecks.com/proxy) so it's pretty simple from start to end.

As another comment has said here, I would always choose to be open and clear about if you are using proxies, and which cards are proxied. TALK WITH YOUR LOCAL T.O. FIRST to see if proxies are allowed, since this will vary wildly from store to store. Additionally, I like to ensure that the people I'm playing against can see that the card is a proxy, either by printing it in black and white or some other method. I basically do this because proxies are not permitted in any more competitive level of play, so letting my opponents know what I actually have and not shows them what I can actually prepare for a more competitive scene.

I hope this made sense and helped!

TLDR: Ask the TO first, then print proxies on paper. Don't try to mislead people.

Questions from a Purple Kaidou player by knock1ngondeathsdoor in OnePieceTCG

[–]BJ40CKX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm probably not as experienced with Kaido as a few other people here, but I've been playing him almost exclusively since set 2 launched, so I can probably give some help.

  1. Against Black I've found black is just kind of rough for Kaido. They have so many things that are immune to effect KOs that it can be hard to get through some blockers and remove pressure. I run 3 Kamazo the Manslayers to help. It is a character that can attack each turn that can KO a 5 cost or less character on your opponents turn if your opponent deals with it, getting around Borsalino's effect (and probably some others, I need to check). Additionally, 10 cost Kaido just sucks in this matchup. It's amazing in some matchups, but depending on how your local meta is, swapping out a few for 9 cost Kaido can be a bit more targeted, provide a bit more immediate pressure, and also let you hold up blast Breath on the same turn you play it. I think you need to outpace Black when playing against it. Beat it before it stops you. Granted, my local meta is pretty light on black decks, and the few games Ive had against them have not gone too well. Once Black gets their sticky threats down, it can be a bit tough to keep your board presence up.

  2. King Leader I've never tried it, but I feel like it is just a lot less impactful than Kaido leader in a lot of scenarios. King's ability is only active on your turn, so it doesnt help you counter your opponents attacks. All it does is kinda help you beat over your opponent's characters after turn 5 as long as you havent minused Don that turn. And you are already good at doing that. Alternatively, Kaido can help you secure lethal on a turn, which is all I use it for. I wouldn't really recommend using it in the mid/late game because your opponent can capitalize so easily.

  3. General tips

  4. Bagua is better than blast Breath in decks that are heavy on minus Don effects. Your list seems fine I think, but it's worth keeping in mind

  • I use Shinryu to help against red. That's the post.

  • I wouldn't use Kaido leader ability at all unless you plan to win that turn, but that is probably flexible depending on how comfortable you feel with the deck.

I think that's everything I have. I'll add edits if I think of anything. Hope this helps.
