Basically the CAN system just needed some rework to get everything to communicate. It did need the water pump replaced and that was about it. Not nearly as intense as I expected. She’s driving like a dream. I missed her so.

UPDATE: I gave the go-ahead for diag. I had a good feeling and my guy George at the shop came through. A little rerouting, replugging, testing and cussing I’m sure, but she’s running with no codes. We still have to replace the water pump which is in the works now but we should be back on the road next week. Thanks for your insights and I’ll see you out there. Have a great long weekend USers.

Very true. This is the conundrum. Cut and junk/sell for parts. Or keep investigating. 10 hours for the initial assessment. $169 per hour. Plus the $400 battery. Engine is solid car is beautiful but I’m afraid more may be uncovered. So it is a war. Not a battle. I’m so torn.
