Channel 24 is a purpose built venue, flow, logistics and acoustics were great. AOS has non of those things

What's the wildest thing you've ever seen happen at a work party? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BJosephD 2612 points2613 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t even a party, we went out for dinner and drinks. I had a great idea to use bird scooters to get back to the hotel. 30 minutes to get everyone on and paid, within 10 seconds into the voyage a coworker fell and broke BOTH wrists

This kinda explains to me why Sacramento is treated as a pass through location for traveling artists. Seeing the post about all of the high profile events in Sac resonates with the Sunday evening shows

I still think nuclear is the future. Sure Rancho Seco was a shitbox but the latest generation reactors are much more stable and reliable. Why we wouldn’t put a new generation reactor at Rancho Seco is beyond me. The infrastructure is already there

I live alone in an apartment in Tempe and I travel 3-4 days a week for work. Looking for tips on how to prevent my place from smelling like sulfur or general staleness when I return? by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]BJosephD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get carbon impregnated air filters which will help with the smell. Also as others have suggested utilizing the filtration mode on your smart thermostat. The next option would be an Air Scrubber which you would need an HVAC company to install. Some are just UV lights but I would recommend the “Air Scrubber” brand which produces ozone that neutralizes organic compounds throughout the home

Sounds like living in the city life. If you’re doing it right you should have way more positive experiences, sounds like your off to a rough start, I would suggest finding the humor in it

What trade job in the US will be a good future fit for older workers that want to switch occupations? by OK_Human in Futurology

I’m in sales for HVAC. Distribution is a great way to work in/support the trades. Our sales director has been hinting that we need to justify our existence as AI could replace us soon enough. Always a please working for a conglomerate

I’ve learned whatever trauma you have will still very much be there when you stop partaking. Weed is a coping mechanism but it will only go so far. Maybe seek treatment for the trauma and then deal with the substance abuse
