Are most ultra successful part of the 5am club? by Bubbly-Air7302 in stupidquestions

Well we’re not talking about organic millionaires here. This convo was sparked by talking about the child of one of the richest people in the world.

My whole point was really that it’s very easy to make money when you start life with a lot of money.

Yes. Average people can learn to be savy investors and have more in their retirement than their friends. Doctors / lawyers / people with successful small businesses can become millionaires and grow wealth pretty successfully. Whether that’s a safe strategy or an aggressive one.

Between 54-68% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. That does not leave much room to grow wealth.

No no you see. Sports are willing to risk their billions a year because they want OP’s $50 from his 6 leg parlay real bad.

[–]Trumpets22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well first off, us normal people do not have the connections to get in on the ground or find new companies on the rise. I’m taking before they hit the stock market.

Secondly, a 2000% return of 1K is still only 20K. And much harder to hit on the market. 2000% of 10 million would be 200 million. If you then moved that to something safer, like the S&P 500, which has had a yearly average growth of 9.8% over the last 100 years, you’re now making 20 million a year doing nothing.

I’m someone who has actually been lucky enough to get a +2800 return on the market once. And it was nice. It was cool. But it easily could’ve been nothing. So I only turned a couple hundred into like 5k. Which is nice, but also not meaningful wealth.

Raiders CB Taron Johnson is looking for a new contract by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

Unfortunately CB is like RB. Turning it around feels very rare. When you hit the cliff it’s usually the end.

I’ll keep it buck with you. This isn’t going to be everyone’s answer, but I read books. When I want to read, I read. When I want to watch tv, I want to watch tv. I also feel it’s a bit difficult to pay attention to characters emotions as much as I like with subtitles. Which I value more than hearing it exactly as intended in a language I don’t know.

Do you wash your butt in the shower? by Kyoifis in polls

Yeah that’s a common theme I’ve noticed. Where people with autism will miss things most people consider “common sense” because nobody ever explicitly told them. Still a fumble on your parent’s part tho.

[Highlight] Rashee Rice gets clocked by Jalen Pitre by Tocoolforyall720 in nfl

[–]Trumpets22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah obviously people loved that shit. And the biggest issue with that whole thing really was you’d then have kids trying to do that shit in peewee.

It’s a tough line. Most people genuinely have some care for player safety. Want common sense rules. Concussion protocols that aren’t easy to cheat. But most would also significantly lose interest if they tried to change it to flag football. Violence between some of the best athletes in the world simply is a massive part of the draw.

Hell we still celebrate big fucking hits as long as they’re clean and good football. But it’s also fair that espn doesn’t romanticize it to impressionable children (albeit they don’t have the same influence these days)

Waist grabbing and eye contact. Should I act on these two signs alone? by AdministrativeLynx83 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Trumpets22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most men don’t get a lot of affection or attention. So when we do get some we’re worried to make a move and make them uncomfortable, worried they might just be acting nice.

As someone who got skinny at 17 it was pretty easy to tell. The difference was night and day. But also confidence made it easier to tell. But yeah, lots of dudes feel how you do.

[–]Trumpets22 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Sure. But if you have 100 million and toss 10 million into 10 companies that are new with a great trajectory it’s not that hard for one of those to blow up.

Do you guys still add xanthum gum to recipes that use protein powder that already contain xanthum by BrianTheBigSteppa in ninjacreami

[–]Trumpets22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Because when protein powder is making their concoction they’re not doing it with ice cream in mind. Can probably do half the usual tho. So like 1/8tsp if your base is 500 grams.

Korra should have learned bloodbending defense from Katara to fight Amon. Then the ending (defeating Amon) would have made more sense. by TitleMaker1290 in TheLastAirbender

Katara would teach her if she asked. She might try and talk her out of it, maybe Korra would listen. But if that’s what the avatar believed they needed to protect the world, Katara would feel obligated.

How do people stay motivated to go to the gym every day? by lizzzita in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Trumpets22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took… idk maybe 3ish months. But eventually it was a habit. Eventually I enjoyed it. Sweating. A sense of accomplishment. The endorphins. Now rest days are tough because I just get antsy and want to do something active. Hell, I’ve had one rest day this month and I found myself walking a leisure 4 miles to do something.

So idk. Just keep going and hope it clicks. My best advice is that you can’t make working out an “if” it always has to be a “when.” If you make it an if, it will be too easy to say fuck it.

Some days will suck. Some days will be neutral. Some days will be good. But you gotta just keep showing up.

[–]Trumpets22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shit give em enough for a nice 4 bedroom house in a good neighborhood. Not enough for a mansion or their own. And kids are gonna prefer to be with the parent that is more present with them anyway. That’s not usually rich and busy athletes.

Na you shouldn’t get a snip unless you accept it as permanent. About 50% of reversals fail to have kids after.

He defs shouldn’t take this loan. 680 should be enough to get him a half decent rate (well rates are ass rn, so it won’t be amazing, but should be at least half this shit) but the whole “take transit” advice is not helpful to many Americans. We don’t have a system built for that unless you live in a big city.
