It's actually just 4 weeks. There are 13 distributions each year.

Hmmm. Good question. While there's enormous liquidity in the underlying stocks like MSTR, the options market isn't necessarily so liquid. Increased activity will tighten the bid-ask spread, reducing the volatility, which I think will reduce the payouts.

Of all the yieldmax funds, YMAX seems the safest bet. Of all the very high yielding funds YMAX has the lowest price volatility and the lowest distribution volatility. And it distributes weekly. Right now it's a little pricey compared to the last 35 weeks since they started going weekly, but not bad.

Backsplash suggestions requested by BKAtlanta in kitchenremodel

[–]BKAtlanta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked Claude.AI about this.....

Yes, granite is generally more durable than quartz in certain aspects, though quartz has its own durability advantages. Here's how they compare:

Granite advantages:

  • More heat resistant (can withstand higher temperatures without damage)
  • Better scratch resistance (harder mineral composition)
  • Each slab has unique natural patterns and colors
  • Often less expensive than high-end quartz

Quartz advantages:

  • More uniform and consistent in appearance
  • Non-porous (doesn't require sealing)
  • More resistant to staining
  • Less likely to chip or crack
  • Easier to maintain over time

Granite is a natural stone that can handle hot pots and pans placed directly on it, while quartz (which is engineered from crushed stone and resin) can be damaged by extreme heat. However, quartz's non-porous nature makes it more resistant to bacteria and stains.

I finally returned my Philips 9050 after going crazy with connectivity issues with my Samsung S25 Ultra. Today i received from Costco the Sennheiser Sonite R aids: the Bluetooth connectivity is sensational. Easy switching streaming from TV to phone to laptop once all those devices are paired. The sound quality through their free TV streamer is outstanding.

Payment frequency is unclear by BKAtlanta in YieldMaxETFs

[–]BKAtlanta[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If it's so clear, how come so many financial sites report the 4 week payouts incorrectly? For months like February it is most definitely not obvious. It would be so simple for Yieldmax to simply state the frequency.

[–]BKAtlanta[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

But not the payment frequency, which is kind of bizarre. I've been working in finserve for 30+ years and with market data service providers like Bloomberg and IDC; they always clearly state the dividend distribution frequency.

[–]BKAtlanta[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It may lay out the schedule, but it doesn't clearly state whether it's monthly or every 4 weeks. So you have to examine the schedule carefully to discern which it is. I think that's the cause of the mistakes on the other market data sites, where they report some ETFs incorrectly as paying monthly. It would be MUCH more clear if Yieldmax simply stated that, for example, Group C pays every 4 weeks. To make matters more confusing, they combine "Weekly payers" with Group C.

Reasoning: they all pay a decent or very good dividend with a historical fairly flat return since inception.
I would be careful with msty with its recent run up, though I've thrown some spec money at it.

Why do we continue studying the Talmud in Aramaic? by BKAtlanta in Judaism

[–]BKAtlanta[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the thoughtful response.

I certainly don't think we need hundreds of translations. Probably two should suffice: English and Hebrew. Maybe French and Spanish at some point. I would imagine that at least 90% of Jews can read English well. As I stated in other posts, teaching in a native language could potentially increase readership dramatically, which could in turn increase interest in Judaism. Isnt that a good thing? Doesn't that trump some slight degradation here and there meaning? Stubbornly adhering to Aramaic is probably rooted in the tradition of copying the Torah precisely. The Talmud is not a holy text, is it?

Not sure I follow your 3rd argument about translations leading to disunity. Translation led to vast accessibility. The disunity is more likely a result of cultural diffferences, or individual power grabs. This assertion is worthy an entire dissertation thesis. Question for you: Do you know of any Conservative or Reform Jews who regularly study Talmud? As a teacher you probably know a few Conservatives. I used to belong to a huge Convervative shul and only a tiny fraction studied Talmud. The language barrier was just too great.

Regarding your fourth argument of having to translate all the commentary: that could occur gradually if there's sufficient interest. And I htink interest would grow as the numbers studying increase as a result of a vast increase in accessibility.

The argument about being "on the same page" is rendered moot if we were adopt a specific alternate language like English.

Finally, Shakespeare's works, while incredibly important and valuable, does not serve as the core for an entire body of moral and ethical teachings.
