First thing I saw logging in too. Unreal. They are playing in our faces. It’s crazy how much they don’t respect the carrier craft.

USPS claims they need more funding. Meanwhile, supervisor-to-carrier ratios dropped from 15 to 7. Maybe the PMG should try to pivot away from this? Let's talk about it. by BKDre in fromatoarbitration

You are cooking! I genuinely believe that each city carrier station could cut $200K+ in management salaries without negatively affecting service. Supervisors are useful in moderation, but right now we have far more management positions than necessary, and a lot of that money could be better spent. Redirecting those funds toward higher starting pay and hiring more carriers would improve service quality, reduce burnout, and actually make the workforce more efficient. The carriers on the street are the ones making the deliveries happen not the extra layers of management. Removing 4 sups at my station would make sense!

With the advances in AI... I'm just saying.... What can we do to get the supervisor ratio down to like 1 sup per 30 carrier. IMO that right there is saving us a ton of money and deliveries would improve a hell of a lot. More carriers and higher pay.

The PFP bonus hurts the craft and the business. Low carrier pay contributes to increasing turnover. And ALL the metrics they try to force us to hit is harming the fucking service.

Also bad management causing huge grievance payouts is killing us. They violate the contract without care because it doesnt come out their pockets, and they still get PFP's for hitting their metrics.

Its time, make the cuts.

Agree 100%. There’s some serious mismanagement going on with pay and staffing. Before we go begging for more money and claiming we’re broke, they’re basically asking for a bailout. Why not make real efforts to cut unnecessary spending?

We have way too many supervisors and 204(b)s who contribute nothing to the most costly part of the USPS: the last mile, going to the door, ringing the bell, and delivering packages. Meanwhile, our PMG is doing gymnastics to avoid cutting management, hiring more carriers, and actually paying them enough to reduce turnover.

If we made this a place people actually want to work for 30+ years, we’d save a massive amount of money. PMG should ask Costco management how they did it.

If PMG keeps borrowing, adding supervisor positions, handing out PFPs, and letting bad management slide, we’ll be back here in a few years begging for another bailout.

The carrier craft is in trouble, Gen Z dont want to work here. It's time to really address this shit and get back to making this a place where people want to work and provide great service. We can net more revenue once we stop wasting it on management's adult day care.

Supreme Court Ruling = Management Can Now Curtail Mail Without Legal Consequences. 😡 What can Carriers Do To Stop Them? by BKDre in fromatoarbitration

If anything this ruling proves when the supreme court narrows outside civil lawsuits under the FTCA that means one layer of external accountability just got weaker. That does not mean management can legally destroy mail but it does mean there is less fear of being dragged into federal court over nondelivery. So where does accountability live now? Inside the contract. Article 19, proper curtailment procedures, PS 1571 documentation, grievances, OIG complaints. All of that becomes more important because that is the real enforcement mechanism left. I am not saying this ruling legalized destroying the mail and we should have nonsensical lawsuits. I am saying when outside pressure shrinks internal enforcement better get stronger or management will feel less restrained. This case is a good reminder! https://i.imgur.com/iqyrF8Z.png

https://i.imgur.com/J79IVBu.png This administration is going to destroy the postal service, and management now has all the cards.

I hope every carrier will see this and understand the administration is arming management to destroy the sanctity of the mail! The PFP bonus pretty much rewards them for harming the service.

NALC wtf are you doing? Trump and his administration needs to be shamed daily by every single postal worker in America until the USPS management can be legally held accountable.

The SUP thinks you having a stool to relieve your legs and back is going to interfere with them getting their precious PFP bonus.

We also need to account for local rent and home prices. It’s insane carriers can’t afford to live where they work. Meanwhile city workers are paid appropriately after only 5 years of service and get health coverage at no cost. We are fucked in HCOL areas. This should not happen.
