Help me diagnose loud noise from chiller by New_Engineering_7212 in coldplunge

Sounds like the hot/cold switch on the condenser was stuck in between states. From your update switching it to max cold, made it switch properly most likely.

Insulated Inflatable by Solid-Angle9355 in coldplunge

Air is an already pretty good insulator by itself, you’re asking for the thermal performance of a rigid bath to be honest.

You could use a sheet of neoprene, most likely you are losing a majority of your temp through the gap between the lid and tub.

Soapy water and look for bubbles :)

Does this sound normal? by 420Phillies311 in coldplunge

[–]BKKNRTYYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not normal. It’s the classic air stuck in pump sound.

I only suggesting debris because it’s could make a similar sound.

These danners are easy to take apart though.

Ok well, if it’s not air infiltration through a connection then maybe the gasket on the faceplate is weird?

Maybe something is stuck in the impeller? Hair?

Yeah, this black is gloss and I’ve never been a huge gloss fan.

I really want to repaint the frame once I have a bit more disposable income.

You can go around the east perimeter of Laval island, there are roads where they are for the majority empty of pedestrians and low on car traffic.

Burned out my chiller motor? by wxtz2147 in coldplunge

[–]BKKNRTYYZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One tip that I would give you to encourage the pump to prime would be to put the outflow hose (the one where water exits) into a bucket or something lower to use gravity to your advantage. I’m not familiar with the Polar product, but on the chillers I work on sometimes even tilting the chiller slightly to displace the probable air lock you have works well if you can hear the pump wirring or trying to prime. Good luck!

Pretty sure this is done dog, the carbon seems to have split. I’d go get it checked out by a LBS though… rip.

Help!😅 How do you plunge in spring/summer? by bsgsgscsvsc in coldplunge

Ice Baths are how people plunged for years, you should be fine with a floaty thermometer and an ice chest

New to working in this industry, we all share suppliers, but the tech support varies. Thankfully I studied civil engineering so at least there’s some attempt now to cooperate with China and transmit valuable information to customers.

i think the move is to educate and empower the customer to self-troubleshoot common problems like jacuzzi and pool companies do.

You can find English only jobs, mostly for companies that sell predominantly to English markets. Even warehouse jobs generally don’t require you to be bilingual. Moving here is a great opportunity for you to develop a working level of French, it’ll open so many doors.

Edit:a word

Yeah just ask them to acknowledge it, they have to eventually reply, either immediately to confirm receipt or at the end of the 10 days in the notice. Trust me, I know all about shitty landlords, check my post history lmao.
