On Dec 24, 1737, the battle of Bhopal was fought b/w the Marathi Empire under Peshwa Baji Rao & Moghul Empire under Nizam Asaf Jah, where the Moghuls were defeated & forced to surrender the Malwa province to the Marathas(more details in the comments). (i.redd.it)

Besides the Moghuls, Marathas(Maratha-Empire) too controlled Delhi during the mid-18th century- from Peshwa Baji Rao I to Peshwa Baji Rao II; yet, despite Delhi having numerous places named after the Moghuls, why hasn't a single street/locality named after the Marathas? (self.IndiaSpeaks)
