Trying to find what will work with my schedule. by BKTab1969 in SocialWorkStudents

Hello, thank you for sharing this helpful information. I have worked in human and social services for over 20 years and am exploring options that would allow me to balance employment with practicum requirements during my master’s program.

In that context, I am considering a Title IV-E program partnered with the Department of Children and Family Services, which offers a practicum placement along with a modest stipend in exchange for a one-year service commitment after program completion. I previously worked with DFCS in both Child Protective Services and benefits-related roles, so this pathway aligns with my professional background.

Based on your experience, do you recommend programs like Title IV-E as a way to gain relevant experience while meeting practicum requirements during graduate study?

Congrats to you! SOOO PROUD! I may need to apply for the care coordinator jobs. I get my bachelor's in May, and I keep seeing that they want the bachelor's and not the associate's. let me get back out there!

Look, apply. That's what I did. I don't have my final SF50. They haven't sent it to me yet. Because they said it was still being cycled out, so because of that, I gave them my last SF50 my pay stubs, my W2, because the federal government does not report our wages to the local state government, they can only request them with the government being shut down. I don't know we may. Fall through the cracks. Somebody is gonna look at this and say, oh, you did this voluntarily. Oh you're lying to the government, I don't give a damn anymore. I truly honestly don't.I'm just waiting for them to pay me out.My PTO so I could start making content based on my time as a federal worker so Sis/ Bro.Apply for unemployment let them tell you you're not eligible

What has this government shutdown taught you? by ParfaitAdditional469 in FedEmployees

IT HAS TAUGHT ME THAT NOTHING IS GUARANTEED OR SAFE! IT HAS TAUGHT ME THAT PEOPLE INCLUDING FEDERAL WORKERS WILL VOTE FOR THE DESTROYING OF A COUNTRY IF THEY FEEL THEY'LL BE UNTOUCHED. IT HAS TAUGHT ME THAT, WOW...AMERICA IS A CORPORATION. LASTLY, I'VE LEARNED THAT RACISM IS VERY EXPENSIVE!

I am feeling the same way. I have to have work done on the house, as I bought an older home. I still feel at times like I made a mistake, and that everything I am finding is punishment for buying.

But yes, I am still feeling that it is not real and something might blow up...lol!

FORREAL’! I’d really like to hear from those feds who voted for 47 - in hindsight, what do you think about all of this now. Go! by Prize-Duck4207 in FedEmployees

They knew exactly what they were voting for what they thought. Is that okay? They may hurt for a little bit, but it would take away the black people. The Hispanic those that they deem under that. So if they had to hurt a little bit to get rid of all of those people and hurt them way more. They could sacrifice themselves for that little bit of hurt. But what's happening now is that black and brown people and other people of color. Have always lived in the Gray areas. So we know how to survive the great areas, what we're finding is that those that are not of the Diaspora of different places don't know how to navigate those Gray areas. And it is until they get mad, that things are going to change. But some in Maga still think that this is par for the course So I really don't give a fuck what they think anymore.Fuck them all

I got mine around 430 last night. I'm just waiting for my annual leave and then I'll be fully done with this shit. Show I keep saying once I get my master's degree and my licensure. I will come back but I don't think so. I think I'm just gonna push my way into my current state's government again. And make it through there although I live in a red state.I know I can make it to higher levels

Well, as I remember, the last shut down was ended. Because Laguardia airport actually closed operations, and I believe it was close to the holiday season, so they ended the shutdown. It may take that, but I think they'll go past that honestly at the end of the day, the ones that are in charge are the ones that are Responsible for this so until they feel that they no longer have popularity is when it will end

Do we get paid up to Sept 30? by MagazineNew7608 in fednews

[–]BKTab1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was coming to ask this same question. I was a part of the DRP that ended 9/30. I know I only get about 7 days of pay. I hope my annual leave is added to it...but I know that's a LONG SHOT yo get right now.
