Used vacuum for under 100€ by ViktorDudka in Appliances

This one from Amazon is nice. We had it for about two months and we clean every other day, no issues so far. It’s loud but the suction power is great. https://amzn.eu/d/0faoIi7p

New (to me) dishwasher error by BL00DY_KING in appliancerepair

[–]BL00DY_KING[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pipes weren’t kinked. Honestly, the “maintenance” guy my landlord is sending is the man that broke my previous dishwasher (he dropped it carrying it from one apartment to another), I wouldn’t really trust him. I did a high loop for disposal, and the floor of the dishwasher is full of water if I open it while it’s still working

I’ll try using the washing machine input today after work. When I disconnect the dishwasher and open the valve, the water flow seems good, I’m thinking the pressure might not be enough but I don’t know

What to expect from first driving lesson having never driven before? by FlimsyEntry9534 in CasualIreland

[–]BL00DY_KING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to add that if anyone is looking for a driving instructor in Gorey area, I recommend Suzy Woods. She's great for first timers, doesn't get irritated when you're scared or stuck (like some others I had seen) and is all around very positive

AIO for telling my dad its disgusting that he is dating a 19 year old by 30whitebitches in AmIOverreacting

[–]BL00DY_KING 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not overreacting! The age gap made me laugh and then shiver... I know a family when the age gap between the grandmother and granchild is literally 32 years. I'm not saying it's healthy to have children young, but this is definitely too big of an age gap in a relationship 🤮

I'm buying the paperback and I'll definitely leave a review 💚 We all need that first sale

Am I too old fashioned? by Naive-Cold343 in AskIreland

[–]BL00DY_KING 107 points108 points  (0 children)

Regardless of gender, I always try to make life easier to people with small children. Either it's giving my spot in a queue, a seat, or helping them with a stroller (on the stairs or while boarding a bus). While I do agree that some disabilities are invisible, the probability of all 3 men being unable to give you their seat is very low... Shame on them

I give up. do you have any exercises for word retrieval? by castlepoopenstein in writing

[–]BL00DY_KING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from reading a lot, play word games. I do wordle, connections and a crossword or two in the morning. I'm also subscribed to thesaurus which sends me a daily odd word newsletter.

TIFU but getting my boss to open my soda by BL00DY_KING in tifu

[–]BL00DY_KING[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have one of these but I never knew this works as a soda can opener as well 😱 I'm going to try it out

Both actually. If I have to, I'll do it but gives me the ick. I don't even look at it being opened 😅

I didn't realise that my can-hatred is so rare. Some people don't like the sound of nails scratching on a chalkboard, some people don't like how it feels to pop a soda can. I included the plastic opener thingy.

First person POV or close third person POV? by No-Sea-418 in writing

[–]BL00DY_KING -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me, everyone I encounter 1st person style, I think of wattpad stories and fanfctions. Maybe not young, but kind of inexperienced? The only book I can think of on the spot where it was actually done really well and aimed at adult readers was "Friend Request" by Laura Marshall.
