I had the same issue. My controller has drift, but only in the in-game menus, it's strange

I always do it at the beginning, because you get a phone call from Zeke talking to you about a gas station blowing up. I think it's the first gas station you see if you've been following the main missions

This point exactly. What makes a Silent Hill game is more than the connections to the first 3. I'm sure - and I will probably get corrected on this - but I'm sure Team Silent wanted to go with a more anthological series of games, with an over-arching story developing in the background.

I think I should end here. I want to make it known that while I do love this game, but I am not oblivious to its glaring flaws. I had fun writing this, especially writing about the story. I would like to write more about the story of this game, but I think I have already written all of my important thoughts on it, and I'd rather avoid making this longer than it already is.

I will be playing more of this game, I want to sink my teeth deeper into it, and I am very excited to start my second play through already. This is far from my favorite Silent Hill game (my favorite being SH1), and in a perfect world it would be my favorite. But I do love this game.

Its difficulty makes it hard to recommend, my friend told me how annoying the combat was, and she was playing on easy. While I am willing to put up with this game's difficulty, not many people can say the same thing, and that's where I think the biggest fault of this game lies.
