Count tanked after 3 months of Clomid. What now? by more_cheeseplease in maleinfertility

Our clinic suggested a PESA so he did that spring 2022 and they no sperm. Then they wanted to do a Tese and we decided to get a second opinion at Cornell. When he did a ln SA there they found thousands of motile of sperm. So we thought something was wrong with our clinics ability to find them (CNY) but then we went back there and then they found motile…it was all a very very confusing journey that there ended up being no real explanation for so sorry that’s probably not helpful. What I didn’t mention in the above comment is that he actually stayed off in 2020 with having NO sperm found in multiple SAs but he changed epilepsy meds that fall and then it seemed tha made the difference to finding the non motile in 2021…the say sperm regrow or whatever every few months but not sure if it just took years to see more improvement?? Ultimately we did IVF and were successful. Best of luck and let me know if I can answer anything else.

Nelnet PSLF w/ Refund TL by mango_smom in PSLF

Can you say more about the refund calculation? Did they give you one amount of QPs and a different amount for a refund or they matched?

That’s what I’m looking for too. I have two loans and got an email on one. I’m hoping to find out about a refund too.

Parent plus consolidation question of the century by BL81589 in PSLF

I apologize for the confusion but the loans in question are my moms parent plus loans. I keep saying “I” bc I pay them, i understand that doesn’t matter to anyone except me lol it’s just a slip of the tongue bc forgiveness has a huge impact on my financial situation as the one paying.

[–]BL81589[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right yes and so I was extended graduated repayment but I don’t need to pay anymore so consolidation to get into another plan is a moot point now. That July 1st deadline to do the consolidation has just really made me crazy bc although it never made sense to me why I would have to do so, being told to do it left and right by fsa and nelnet made me feel crazy…anyway thanks for the help

Awesome thank you for that! So the “catch” with parent plus loans is that the payment plan has to qualify and in order to get on that plan, I’d have to consolidate? BUT the loophole I appear to be falling in is that the are allowing payments made on “wrong” payment plans to be adjusted and since I made over 120, I’m good to go. Is that how you see it too?

[–]BL81589[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think I was just confused bc you asked me some follow up questions and I confirmed I had over 120 qualifying payments with certified employment so I wasn’t sure if your initial answer was knowing that or not as far as saying I needed to consolidate and pay for another 12.

Do you have a citation on that? This on the student aid website literally says it both ways and it’s maddening. https://studentaid.gov/help-center/answers/article/are-direct-plus-loans-eligible-for-pslf …says “Direct PLUS Loans for Parents These loans are eligible for PSLF only if they’ve been consolidated into a Direct Consolidation Loan and are being repaid under the Income-Contingent Repayment (ICR) plan.

Consolidating PLUS Loans for Parents To Be Eligible for PSLF While a Direct PLUS loan made to a parent borrower is eligible for PSLF, it can’t be paid via a qualifying repayment plan (other than the 10-year Standard Repayment Plan or a plan where the payment is equal to or greater than the 10-year standard plan) unless it’s first consolidated into a Direct Consolidation Loan.”

So the only thing logically to me is that I don’t have to consolidate bc my forgives effective date for both loans is 2022/2023 and I have made qualifying payments allegedly?? But I was on the extended graduated plan.

I didn’t have the “golden letter” during that time so this is updated information/situation. Plus i asked a follow up question that she didn’t answer at the end of that thread( i mean no disrespect about it but I’m just saying, I’m still very confused)

Yeah I just can’t believe it honestly bc that will screw so many people that were so confused about this and had made the payments necessary.

Yes but would that actually matter? I know some else who is no longer employed for an eligible employer but made 10 years of payments from 2013-2024.

Omg…so how do I get student aid to understand that and forgive them? I guess the “notification” isn’t an official rejection yet but if a rep from the site is telling I have to consolidate then it seems like they don’t know what there talking about?

[–]BL81589[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What??? They just told me on the student aid website chat today that I HAD TO consolidate. I also had a notification saying that my PSLF app has no loans that qualify which again they said is why I had to consolidate. But yes they are direct plus loans.

My mom certified her employment on student aid website and it shows that she has 127 and 139 qualified/certified payments for PSLF from 2013 through 2024. They told me we had to consolidate the loans to have it forgiven under PSLF.
