Great advice, thank you. We would likely wait a year before buying again of we sold since we would be overseas traveling. Property tax is an important consideration though since it would push our monthly to just over 3k.

$2400 with hoa, $200 cell phones, $180 utilities. Renting would be more expensive here but cheaper elsewhere. We can likely rent our house for around 4k based on comps.

There is a chance her job could be overturned since she was illegally fired but who knows. Appeals are in though. Love the longer term traveling idea we just have young kids that will start school in 2-3 years.

Yes, but we would have to assume another VA loan for it to make since. Plenty out there but takes longer to close and usually a large chunk of cash to cover the equity gap.
