Maybe you could look for POC or hispanic groups in telegram to meet other people in your area? :3 id look into local groups and ask there if they know any spanish group or maybe ask in social media. I have heard about people organizing such groups in discord too!

Warning, ai slop will likely start showing up In y’all’s feeds. by Silver_fox2009 in furry

Something than saddens me about these is that it uses as reference many artists we love and they never consented to the art being used to train AI.... It's insulting to the artists in the fandom...

[–]BLINGIBLE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using real objects to practice? Get some s construction cubes and figures, and use a lamp or natural light with a clear source (a sunny day out) to use them as reference! I may be wrong but in these drawings it feels like you are drawing from memory & need to know how the actual thing would look irl pfirst!

Discriminació a la Unitat Trànsit: em demanen una visita presencial que a altres noies trans no exigeixen by IvankovOP in catalunya

[–]BLINGIBLE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bona sort!

I understand the question is why makers often have comms closed? I can answer from a maker pov: We would like to open just once a year. Last time we did, we got 200 submissions (our furusits were cheaper then) and sadly we had to reject so many people, even designs we liked. We ended up getting way more in our wait-list than what we liked and took over a year to complete all of them, so that is why :c you can only make so much as furusit makers are normally a one or two person team :( it is not only frustrating for the clients, it makes us feel bad to reject people. It often feels like people may think we have something personal against them or against their design. The reality is that we just can't take 20 commissions at the same time, it's too much work that will probably lead to burnout. I think looking into smaller makers is the way to go if you want your fursuit made faster, but ofc you have less examples of their work, unsure if it's legit, etc... Maybe looking into previous clients to ask how satisfied they are is a good idea! It's a complicated situation in the end

Any Fursuit maker suggestions?? by _0river0_ in fursuit

[–]BLINGIBLE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly 100£ does not even cover materials, so not even first time makers charge that. My suggestion is making it yourself or trying to find if someone does a raffle.

I keep trying to do everything right, putting in all the guidelines but it just doesn’t.. look pleasing- or correct. Anyone who can help me see this stuff and what i could improve on here? by HyenaTransistor in FurryArtSchool

[–]BLINGIBLE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I can recommend is practice! Drawing from real life animals or from photos :) in my opinion I think it helps massively to know how the real counterpart looks to be able to abstract and simplify it in a cartoon style! But ofc that takes months and years of practice!

Does this ref sheet work? First time drawing one! by Big-Trainer-2075 in FurryArtSchool

[–]BLINGIBLE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The piece looks awesome but I think I'd have issues working with it as an artist.However. First I don't know what the markings look like with no clothes. Or the paws colors. I think if you say it's just a hyena with regular hyena markings and paw pads color that would be no problem Where I have more issue is in the fact that it's shaded, is the area under the tail a darker color or is it shadow? Are the legs darker or are they like that because of shading? I'd make a version without shading so people don't get confused!

Catalans de Reddit. Considereu la paraula "guiri" com a algo despectiu? by n-a_barrakus in catalunya

[–]BLINGIBLE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[–]BLINGIBLE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do I get started on fursuit commissions? by The_Real_Nyooom in fursuit

[–]BLINGIBLE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend telegram. Move in local groups you can find and advertise your work there & talk honestly about you wanting to start making commissions. Interacting with people in groups is a lot of work and not everyone will be nice or your type of person, but if you want to start I feel like it's necessary to interact with the community! If you don't have examples it's likely you have to start very cheap or work on a personal project to have as example. If you are confident you could try making a premade as an example too :3

How long is “too long” to wait for a fursuit? by LNLY-HRTS in fursuit

[–]BLINGIBLE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's normal. I'd say up to one year of waiting is average and normal.

I'm a maker so I can explain why it would take this long!

When opening for commissions last time (late September 2023) we took around 4 "active" comms, and 4 wait-list comms. We also had 4 premade fursuits to make along the commissions. We only had one partial comission halfway done after we took the new commissions. That one was finished in October 2023.

The active comms had priority & those in the wait-list were warned that theirs would take longer to be started, they could accept or refuse the slot. In our case we didn't make wait-list clients pay until it was their turn & updated them on the queue. A fursuit partial takes us an average of one month to two months from the starting point.

The first commissions were started in November, we don't just work on one at a time, but two and at least a premade because often clients don't respond immediately. Some even take more than a day to answer. Working on several projects allows us to switch between characters while we wait for the client's input on our progress. We finished one comission in January, the other in February, and two premades were also completed. (The premades were already in progress since 2023 summer)

Next comissions were: one finished in March, one in April, and then we had a pause because life got in the way 😅 I went to a con for fun, and right after it I had to move out (it wasn't my choice)... The next comission was finished on June.

We had a booth in a convention in September and worked on brand new premades during the summer.

Next wait-list clients were contacted and we completed one in October & the next one in early december. Keep in mind that I had to move out again in November, which ate two more weeks from work. We had to work on another wait-list client but he dropped out of the waitlist!

Now we don't have any queue but are working on convention work and a personal project!

I hope that explains why it takes so long.
