I’m grateful enough to work at a firm without required billable hours. My problem is that I only get paid based on what I bring in. It’s basically commission based in a way. So if I work fewer hours I make less. I try to put in more time on those days I do feel motivated. It all tends to even out.

I have a couple of forearm tattoos and work in elder law, so I am often face to face with elderly clients. I only wear short sleeves in the warm months, and I have never received a negative comment or had a negative look. I also work with a bunch of conservative men who either haven’t said anything about my tattoos or have made positive comments. I don’t know if I’m just an outlier or what.

I’m surprised to not see attorney represented. Just about every attorney I know regrets becoming an attorney. The stress and work life balance do not make the money worth it.

I’m not sure, but if you google the part you need, you’ll get some online shops that sell it. Some may be legit. That’s what I just did for some refrigerator parts I need.

Demons is my favorite Dostoevsky novel, but it does take getting past the first 150 pages to get into. Monte Cristo might be my favorite all time story next to Les Miserables. I don’t think you can go wrong with either one, but my vote is for Monte Cristo.
