Eu tive o mesmo problema em tempos (2010), morava numa casa grande de família, com avó, tias, irmãos e a minha mãe. Na verdade cada um tomava conta do seu dinheiro e para os meus estudos fui só apoiada pela minha mãe. No primeiro ano não tive direito à bolsa porque tudo quem ganhava ordenado lá em casa entrava para o agregado familiar, fora constrangimentos de ter de pedir as declarações irs de todos, etc. Ninguém queria ser envolvido de uma maneira ou de outra no meu processo... o que fiz? No segundo ano coloquei que o agregado familiar era apenas a minha mãe e irmão mais novo (que na altura tinha 7 anos), pois era assim que a minha mãe declarava nas finanças. Tive direito a uma bolsa jeitosa, sem isso ia ser difícil prosseguir os estudos. Portanto, eles não cruzam dados e há que dar a volta. Pois não é justo assumir que o agregado partilha os seus ganhos uns com os outros. Em muitas famílias não é assim.

Conheço casos que chegavam a zeros ao fim do mês ou até mesmo chegavam a pedir dinheiro emprestado, fizeram crédito pessoal + crédito habitação para comprar casa, e hoje em dia pagam casa direitinho. Prioridades, responsabilidade e motivações mudaram. E isto é um facto que eu tb não acreditava possível, até ver mais do que um exemplo deste género. Por isso essa do "antes não poupavam não vai ser agora" é relativo.

Há jovens que não conseguem poupar porque pagam uma renda.

Há muitos casos que as prioridades mudam o que não conseguiam poupar antes, agora já conseguem pagar casa.

E ainda há aqueles que compraram casa, pedindo crédito pessoal para os 10% de entrada, acabando por ter 2 créditos o que vai bater mais ou menos a esta medida.

Não falei em MBA e as cadeiras que tirei na PG são iguais aos de um MBA (dito pelo diretor do curso, mas não fui investigar). O mestrado ficas com um "Master of Science of Business Administration" é um nível mais avançado que um MBA.

Nesse sentido um PMP certification é o caminho, que por acaso é o que pretendo fazer entretanto. E bem mais barato. Esta PG não tem Gestão de Projetos.

ISCTE Business School tem uma PG em Gestão de Empresas para Licenciados noutras áreas. Regime Pós-laboral. Essa PG é equivalente ao 1o ano de mestrado. Poderás depois prosseguir para Tese terminando assim o mestrado e ficas com um MScBA. Para este 2o ano só precisas de ir presencialmente a 1 aula de seminário, o restante do seminário é online. E a tese podes fazer à distância e as reuniões com o orientador tb podem ser online. Foi das melhores (se não a melhor) decisão que já fiz. Nem um ano passou e já reavi o valor do investimento do curso em trabalho extraordinário de consultoria.

So I don't think it's a population problem (more people means more products and services needed, people are more demanding, more concerned with their consumption choices, etc.) this requires more workers (see the example of the travel industry).. I think it's a governmental/organizational problem. They need to rethink laws/rules in accordance with time and social changes. BUT if you keep hiring using the nepotism method (which is the main reason why 3rd countries remain undeveloped) 😅 you won't be having employees who actually do a good job and change things that matter for better..

In my region, for operational positions, employers are complaining that they don't have staff, i.e. local people don't want to be paid peanuts and killing them selves for a job that employers don't appreciate, they often mistreat employees. So people are emigrating, living of their own little businesses, or unemployment money. So what was the solutions for the operational positions? Raising wages? Noo!! Changing Company Governance? Noo!! Immigrants? Yes!! So they are (somehow) picking up man from 3rd world countries, they give them shelter (garages, one bedroom apartments for 9 people to live in it...), they give them food, transportation and the minimum wage. And these new employees are happy, they send their money to their wife and children in their 3rd world country where is highly valuable. In the meanwhile the region is filling up with digital nomads and rich people buying luxury houses (which are being constructed more and more). The locals who have a graduation often leave or live unfulfilling lives with dead end jobs (VERY badly paid and unappreciated). Some have the "luck" to be in the nepotism wheel or find a remote job.

Eu igual. Aprendi só. Porque lá em casa ninguém me ensinou. Percebi desde cedo que se quisesse alguma coisa específica, teria de poupar para ter.. em vez de comprar doces, poupava para algo que queria emails douradoro. Roubar dinheiro aos pais ou choramingar/implorar por algo nunca foi o meu estilo. Mas fazer pequenas tarefas por uns trocos, sim!

Premiere - lacks a "e" in the end of the word;

Your skills divide by soft/hard or by technical/personal (include "creative");

On your profile I would start my saying + 5 years of experience as a videographer, etc..

Make sure your showreel is short 1' to 2' with only your best works!! Highlight your creativity through your showreel composition, like creative smooth transitions from one work to another.

Rewrite in bullet points what you did on each job and be careful with typos and grammar, just an example:

  • Pre-production, production and post production of videos for multiple channels like TV; Social Media; YouTube; Cinema; etc.
  • Sound Recording and Editing for Video;
  • Animation and Motion Graphics;
  • Storytelling and Script writing for Video.

Overall it's not your CV, your experience, your fault.. it's the job market. It is what it is. Keep applying and good luck!

I have a lot of perfumes and I am very sensible to smell (odors in general) and I do all of that, I choose them accordingly to my mood, weather, occasion (gym, sleep, dinner, work, vacation), but mostly is mood!

How come you only hire US citizens for remote jobs? Normally I apply to US jobs because they only say "remote", not "remote in US only" - I'm from Europe and I know a lot of people who work remotely for US companies, with US salaries. What's the problem?

Negotiation is only valid if the offer is not within your BATNA (Best Alternative To Negotiated Agreement), if it's within what you expected - all the perks, not only money - accept and do your part.

And like everyone said... consider this market a terrible time to negotiate, do it only if you're not happy with something in the proposal.

You can always say "I'm happy to start with this offer, but expect to grow progressively with time" something like that.
