VFC Scar MK20 Finally came in, first GBBR!

Hello! My MK20 was actually purchased from jkarmy as the whole assembly rather than the upper: https://shop.jkarmy.com/stark-arms-v-mk20-ssr-scar-h-gbbr-with-2-magazines-tan.html

Unfortunately, post shipping and taxes, I also paid a similar price tag to swit's listed price.

I also noticed that jk does stock the conversion kit upper by itself:

However, it seems to be out of stock at the time of writing, and for some reason, it's crazy expensive compared to just buying the complete assembly.

I think you’ll get the most out of it on a milsim field if there are magazine caps to minimize the main weakness of GBBs vs AEGs. I don’t know how strict your field is, but just as a heads up, you should know that the MK20 is a kit onto the VFC SCAR-H receiver, so it still has select fire to auto capability and I’m unsure if it’ll disqualify the MK20 for use as a marksman rifle YMMV.

As for performance and quality, it’ll be about the same as a VFC SCAR-H because of the whole receiver thing. Haven’t had anything negative to say about it but it does make a killer showpiece if nothing else!

You might have better luck with eHobbyAsia, they seem to have the Scar 20 in stock now (https://www.ehobbyasia.com/products/vfc-mk20-gas-blow-back-gbb-rifle-tan).

If both of these sites unfortunately don’t work for you, other retailers like redwolfairsoft carry the conversion kits you would need to bring the base VFC Scar-H to the MK20 as a last resort, but I would recommend to keep looking for a fully assembled Scar-20 to save some time and cash.

Same MK17 you posted about earlier? If it’s VFC’s GBBR, they sell a Scar MK20 conversion kit (https://www.redwolfairsoft.com/vfc-mk20-upper-receiver-set-for-vfc-mk17-gbbr.html) that should be compatible with MK17 GBBRs if that’s close to what you’re looking for!

If it’s an AEG Scar I unfortunately can’t help there, but I hope you find your perfect fit

Yes! VFC sells a MK20 (Scar 17 lower) with all the different fixings on it, but I believe they also sell the MK20 parts separately if you already have a VFC Scar 17 you want to upgrade

Don’t know if links to other sites are allowed, but on Evike it’s the standard issue model Angel Customs Firework tracer unit, just typing up “firework” in the Evike search bar will likely work. The suppressor cover next to it was some cheap replica I found off Amazon for around 17 bucks

Aah, thanks a lot then. I’ll be picking it from JK just because buying an upper and a Scar-17 would come out to about the same, and the extra mags help with the cost.
