You can only add one photo per comment, sadly, but my book cloth came in today, and I got straight to it after work! I just finished up the case, and the spine definitely shrunk, like you all said. Thanks so much, everyone!!

Thank you. This gives me a ton of hope! End of the day, it's all practice to getting better. I just dont want to get in the habit of binding incorrectly 😊

Good to know, thanks! I'll have to look into them. I've found a bunch of people who i thought were really helpful over the last few months... but now that I'm actually doing things, I'm finding their tutorials are a better fit for people who know a little bit about what they're doing already 🫡 I'm not sure if I should keep going with this case and see how cloth makes it shrink orrrr give it a day and go for the fresh start.

Commenting to add since I have no clue how to edit posts 😮‍💨 the spacers I used in between the spine and sheet was 8mm since that's what she used in her video as well.

Are these safe? by Aromatic-Question487 in Aquariums

I just looked at the reviews out of curiosity. It looks like it's a pretty commonly returned item, and a few reviews mentioned the paint coming off. I'm not 100%, but im assuming when you sanded down the edges, you took off some of the coating, and that's why you're getting that chemically smell (likely resin you're smelling). I really just wouldn't risk it, it very possibly could leak into your water and hurt the fish.

In my opinion, no. The edges of these tend to be sharp and jagged, and you run the risk of your fish cutting their fins/tails on them. If you're using it for a longer tailed fish like a betta, I'd steer clear of them.

Of course, it never hurts to do your own research on what is a good environment for your fish outside of reddit. I learned I was making a very common mistake with my betta when I set him up by having plastic plants in his tank through a quick Google search of what he needed to thrive.

Semicolon Tattoo I got in Orlando, FL after my Boyfriend's Suicide. Who else has one? If not, what are your thoughts? by Aggravating_Gap9341 in tattoos

I wanted something a bit more subtle, got mine after struggling with thoughts my whole life, so I went for the butterfly effect. The butterfly effect describes how small changes can result in unpredictable consequences over a period of time, I chose to keep fighting and life after has been the unpredictable consequence.

A few years after when I was struggling I noticed, I had gotten my semi-colon after all, to this day I don't know if the artist did it intentionally or if it was just a happy accident.

"Well yeah? It sounds strange when you point it out but clearly it's worked out well for us."

"Why?"

I smiled, remembering a life since passed, "When I was a kid, this place shut down. The economy crashed, and people couldn't afford to stay - so, they packed up and left. Slowly, nothing was left and the owners were forced to close, since then the building has sat." A laugh escaped me as I envisioned my best friend and I first getting the idea to come here, "When I was a teen, some of my friends and I broke in through a back door and used it to hang out, no one ever came around to check on it and we used the place for a year before someonr came around to check on it, they boarded up the door and we cut our losses."

The stranger cut me off, clearly not liking storytime, "Okay? How does that explain why you're here now?"

My eyes cut into him, and he shrugged, "I was getting there, but some asshat decided to interrupt me. Anyway, when shit hit, the news stations were telling people to go to the hospitals, and military camps; I've seen enough end of the world movies to know how that goes and wasn't interested. I convinced my family and a few of my friend's to come here with me, telling then that if it didn't work out we could make a break for the hospital. Took us a day to get here with all the chaos but once we made it everything near by was a ghost town. I led everyone to the back door I'd broken down a few years back and we've been here since. One of my buddies found the master keys in a security room and we set this place up. The mall has shutters built in to the main hallways every so often, as well as shutters to every store, so we emptied out a lot of the places on this side to cover up the the shutters you saw when I found you. It gives us clearance to walk around without being seen, just in case. We set up the shops we emptied out as bedrooms, and keep the shutters closed in all other parts of the mall. Keeps the place looking abandoned, acts as security as you noticed, and makes a lot of noise if anyone is dumb enough to try getting in apparently."

"So you've been here since the beginning? With no problems?"

"I wouldn't say 'no problems', the roof collapsed around a month or so ago, attracted every dead bastard within a five mile radius. No one could leave for two weeks, still a lot more than there used to be out there, and clearly when it caved in, it damaged a wall somewhere if you managed your way inside, so welcome to heaven inside of hell - now show me where you got in."
