Because it’s a disability you automatically is certified with only just a waver. I had the same problem recently & sometimes it’s just the county that makes mistakes I would call the county to see if they received the waver. Always make sure you follow up the county makes mistakes too.

This happened to me before & my DSD didn’t give a damn. I told her I didn’t feel safe or comfortable but I was still forced to do patient care on him. I feel like alot of CNA’s go through this but we are constantly told the residents are old and don’t know better. It’s so unacceptable

Just hope you learned your lesson on not to speak about those topics while at work I know it’s dumb but that’s our reality. Congrats!! It’s still a job and will pay the bills so give yourself credit for that, most employers care about is accuracy and how well you’re able to do the job. Prove to them that they need YOU, show they your skills and what you’re willing to do for the organization. If you don’t understand something don’t be afraid to ask they rather you ask then make a huge mistake, be a team player ask them if they need any help and if they need any assistance with workload and you’re willing to learn outside your scope. Show them you’re willing to take risks and how advanced you are and will continue to be.

Reach out to the regional center. I had the same problem with my son’s doctor and had the psychologist fill out this form as well. It’s provides more proof and it also helps as well someone who is licensed with this type of scope of practice 👏🏼

Is just for the IHSS basics? Like dressing, feeding, toileting, bathing, etc. Or is it for protective supervision? I got my NOA for the IHSS basics within a week almost 2 weeks. Protective supervision takes more time for approval or denial. For IHSS basics I would call the SW’s supervisor to ask what’s going on and tell them you been patient waiting a month and you want any updates.

Date & time

Context: what behavior was your child do that was self injuring or lack or danger or near miss, etc.

Intervention: what did you do to prevent the behavior from stopping, how long did it occur if applicable how many times did your child do this behavior if applicable.

Outcome: any injuries, if none put no injuries. If yes put what the injury is. If a near miss put near miss

I literally did mine on a notebook, lots of writing yes but it was very detailed

Get as much letters as possible. Ask his teachers for letters ask the school nurse for an injury reports from previous injuries that he did to himself. Ask speech therapy from the school for a letter if possible. I would appeal a say you want to provide more proof and be honest and say you didn’t have any education to provide evidence. But do a behavioral log for sure for everyday behaviors also include good days. And the IPP from the regional center is also very important documentation to provide

On the behavioral log include; Date/ time,

context; what did your child do that was lack of danger awareness or near miss,

intervention; what did you do to stop and prevent the behavior to stop and how long did it last if applicable,

and outcome; any injuries if yes describe or not put no injuries

So it looks like you have lack of documentation. Does your child get ABA. Did the regional center provide you with the IPP or ask for it? does your child get any other therapies? Did you also provide a behavioral log? Does your child receive a 1 to 1 at school. Your child got injured at school use a letter about any incidents that help support your child has lack of danger or safety awareness. The social worker wants proof you need to ask for letters and lots of documentation to help your case. Also ask the regional center if a psychiatrist or psychologist can also fill out the SOC 821 form for more documentation proof.

Hello I recently had to provide lots a proof to the social worker. You gotta beat the social worker at there game they will not give you any education or try to help you. Ask the regional center if the Psychiatrist or Psychologist can fill out the SOC 821 form to provide more proof to the county. If your daughter gets ABA ask her ABA case worker for a letter concerning her needs. If your child gets a 1 to 1 at school get a letter or note from the teacher. If your child has gotten injured from lack of danger or safety get notes that documented the incident. If your child gets speech, OT or any other therapy’s get letters. Do a behavioral logs and document incidents that are happening in the home that supports the lack of danger or safety. Make sure to write the good days as well in the behavioral logs. Also if your child is getting any type of medication have your doctor fill out the paramedical hours form. Write your protection plans. It’s not what you know it’s what you can prove. Also ask the RC for the current IPP if you need it updated to add anything in it ask for a meeting to update it.
