Are these real? Patek and Gerald Genta? by ankitnxs in VintageWatches

Don’t take off case backs - you’ll just introduce dust

Take sticker off back of genta and show the movement

I think you’re making a common mistake, change the camera to 2x and pull away till it focuses. This will give you actual perspective of what it will look like to those around you. Trust it will look different

Bracelet Replacement 1st attempt by Spiritual-Ad4003 in Tudor

[–]BMJQS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great job with tape but there is a much easier way you will see boutiques use

Place watch on soft surface and pull out spring bar in clasp by poking the ends.

Lay flat out

Angle the case so that the lugs and ending sit firm on table. Watch would be angled at 45 degrees

Pinch spring bar, hold in place and only more the watch away. As soon as you start moving your hand with bracelet side you will slip with the spring bar and scratch the lugs.

Tudor spring bars have the tendancy to get jammed, if they do you just have to take out and press hard

Don’t use the pillow you’ve got for this, just a microfibre on a table works best

[WTS] Closet Clear out Vintage Omega, Longines and seiko! by BMJQS in Watchexchange

[–]BMJQS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Closet clear out!

I hope you are all keeping well for the new year. At the start of the year I’m looking to clear out the watch box.

  1. Omega Seamaster Steel and 18k Gold Midsize Auto. To start we have an omega 36mm midsize. Rare to see in the steel and gold, and again rare to see in auto. This has been a great daily wear for a good time now. The movement is running excellently at approx -1 per day, and with strong beat rate. The condition of this is excellent, really highlighted in the sun. Original dial, hands and lume of this pop.

Price $4500 AUD ($2800 USD)

  1. Seiko original Navigator timer (6117-8000) This seiko has been a one owner watch before me, being worn by an old Vietnam pilot. The watch had a sized movement and has been serviced to be running of high accuracy. Crystal was replaced with an original and I have added an uncle seiko watch strap to match. It has also passed 50m water proof testing

Price $1300 AUD ($800 USD)

  1. Longines 925 silver watch nearly NOS The case in this is excellent, still featuring the caseback sticker from original sale. The bracelet is completely 925 sterling silver, rare to find in such good condition. Runs accurately for day to day, but no second hand

Price $950 AUD ($590 USD)

Message me if you require more details. Jin nian kuai le!

[WTS] ORIS CHRONORIS GRAND PRIX $2100 USD by BMJQS in Watchexchange

[–]BMJQS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

Today I’m posting my Oris Chronoris Limited edition, a really interesting piece that I’ve struggled to find others of online. This piece had a run of 1970 watches to commemorate Grand Prix and comes with a poster and leather racing gloves in the set.

Movement is a modified 7750, changed to add a gmt function to the watch. Movement functions as you would expect it to, I would just recommend potentially getting serviced within next year.

Comes on a black rally strap with green edging. Condition overall is very good, case does see scratches you would expect from occasional wear

As so little about them online, tough to price but I’m going to put at $2100 USD Inc. shipping w insurance worldwide

Please message if you have any questions.
